Glover has been beating decent opposition recently. I think it would be unfair if he was not considered to be a good enough opponent to challenge for the belt by the board.

This is the main event of a bill to be televised on ITV4. Without this fight being for the Commonwealth title then it is a very poor main event, so I can't think of any other reason that this would not be for the Commonwealth belt.

huh, how does the title not being at stake make it any less of a main event?

What are the viewers going to think? Having a title on the line makes people more interested.

It doesnt make it any less of a fight but wondered why Glover has not got the chance to fight for this title.

Yeah but a learning fight is pretty poor for a televised main event. The bill was poor anyway for TV, now without it being for the Commonwealth scrap its even worse.

No but O'Donnell's weight was read out as 147 3/4 if I'm not mistaken, don't know if the two things were related.

I don't think it had anything to do with him being overweight since we knew the title wasn't on the line days before the weigh in
