Theres a load of good one's there all close fights that could go either way it's going to be a great month with those fights I see Booth vs Hunter being a total cracker
Re: Fight/Event your most looking forward to in October
youve missed the best fight off tony quigley v paul smith
Re: Fight/Event your most looking forward to in October
you can pick it now.

i agree with the Hunter Booth but I think it will be a bit scrappy, which is unusual for a 2 smooth booth fight, mainly because I think Hunter will be a bit rusty and will overcome Booth through strength and determination eventually.alexpaterson wrote:Theres a load of good one's there all close fights that could go either way it's going to be a great month with those fights I see Booth vs Hunter being a total cracker
As for the question......It's Brook Jennings for me by a mile.
I'm not overly excited by Rhodes Moore.....i think it will be close but I think Rhodes has been around for a long time now, if he were to win, I think he'd quickly come unstuck at the next level.
I plan to be in attendance for the Brook Jennings fight.....I'm a bit nervous tbh about being surrounded by that many scousers...is it a safe place to go for an outsider....can I expect to find myself in a fight with 6 thugs on the way back to my hotel if I talk differently etc etc.. I hope not cos I fancy this.

It's all about the Super 6's
Re: Fight/Event your most looking forward to in October
froch-dirrell just because im going
Re: Fight/Event your most looking forward to in October
i cant wait am going 5 of them
Re: Fight/Event your most looking forward to in October
Froch dirrell followed by Rhodes vs Moore... two very tough fights to call.
Re: Fight/Event your most looking forward to in October
Yep, I went for Froch vd Direll just because of the stature of the fight and the fact both are at or near their peak, whereas while I love both Rhodes and Moore, I think Rhodes is past his best and even if he won (which isn't an impossibility), he won't be going on to world honours.stujones wrote:Froch dirrell followed by Rhodes vs Moore... two very tough fights to call.

lucky git. i keep changing my prediction for froch v dirrell,at the moment im thinking froch by ko between 9-11
my vote would have gone to murray-thaxton before he lost to glover
Re: Fight/Event your most looking forward to in October
liverpool is a very safe place to go lol. I think im most excited about paul smith and tony quigley although i am going 5 of them.

Froch vs Dirrell. I get much more excited about World level boxing than domestic level boxing. This fight is intriguing and I'm very interested to see Dirrell's game plan, because he can't afford to stand and trade with Froch. I think he's going to try to use his footwork to get in, throw a combination, get out. He'll probably have some success with it, like Taylor did, but can he keep it all together for 12 rounds?
Hagler2002 vs Poodlepoo would be good to see, if it happens. Arm wrestle and chicken dinner for the winner.
I'm interesting in almost all of the fights. At least one of them is bound to be excellent.

Probably Sexton-Rogan just ahead of Froch-Dirrell, going to both but I have a feeling the Belfast match will be a war with an unbelievable atmosphere.
Re: Fight/Event your most looking forward to in October
What channel is showing Froch vs Dirrell?
Re: Fight/Event your most looking forward to in October
Showtime in the US. Emerson doesn't have it listed (yet) in the TV Schedule topic: http://forum.boxrec.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=83377Horse wrote:What channel is showing Froch vs Dirrell?

I was reading a couple of week old BN today and Sexton's lot are saying he'll win it this time....."even more easily than he won it the first time"..........Hagler2002 wrote:Probably Sexton-Rogan just ahead of Froch-Dirrell, going to both but I have a feeling the Belfast match will be a war with an unbelievable atmosphere.
I must have been wrong then, I thought he was rocked wobbled and gone, then Rogan got chucked out on a dubiously timed cut.
Hey, what do I know........
Bring on the Belter at Welter
Re: Fight/Event your most looking forward to in October
Moore-Rhodes comes a close second (to Froch-Dirrell)
Re: Fight/Event your most looking forward to in October
Has to be Froch Vs Dirrell, but I'm also looking forward to seeing how Brook copes with Jennings and Smith Vs Quigley... Plenty to choose from though, which is never a bad thing.
