Hi,

I've been away for a few weeks and was wondering if details of allegedly's TV deal have been announced? It seems unlikely, at least to me, that Warren is going to be working with SKY in the new season as they appear to have given dates only to Hatton, Maloney, Matchroom and David Haye (well, just the Valuev fight on Box Office, if that's still on??).

ITV are ditching boxing in the new year, apparently, which will leave Mick Hennessy searching for a new home. ESPN have showed a potential willingness to cover boxing (having shown Witter's and Woods' recent US fights) but will they risk ploughing money into Boxing until their new UK sports channel is established?

The BBC seem no nearer to returning to Boxing which leaves, who? Channel 5 could be a decent bet. Warren allowed them to show the debuts of the Olympians on delay earlier in the year.

I find it really intriguing that Warren is yet to announce a new TV deal, especially on a day when Martin Rogan's Commonwealth title clash with Sam Sexton (first mooted for September, then planned for early October) has now been put back until November because Rogan is injured. Despite the doom and gloom, Warren has an excellent stable and has some great fights on the horizon (Brook-Jennings, Smith=Quigley, Olympians, Khan etc) to be left without TV.

Would welcome people's thoughts / news and, no, there's no "agenda" to this thread. I've simply been off the radar for 3 weeks. Cheers.

Quigley-Smith is Sky for sure and I presume Cleverly in early October and Rogan is the same

Rogan - Sexton, and the Liverpool bill are listed on the SKY Live section, and I think they mentioned Khan during the first FFN?

Did they? Oh right, interesting. It just seemed that some of Warren's dates were potentially going to clash with some of the other promoters that already had SKY dates.

warren will always have a contract with sky..why would he announce a new tv deal?? HE ALREADY HAS 1!!!!!! and has had for donkeys years!

The fact that Warren has worked with ITV and then Setanta after parting company with SKY in 2005 doesn't suggest he will "always work with SKY".

Firstly welcome back Ben - stop being in denial and get back to some rucking !!!

It is very sad indeed that the owner and the moderators who incidentally I believe do a truly fantastic job have to continually delete threads due to the anticipated/perceived legal disputes if those threads are allowed to continue.

My attitude here is due to the many threads concerning a certain personality being deleted we as fans are being forced into a corner in that we should not discuss him at all for fear of getting into some form of dispute whether it be with the moderators or some "In House".

A certain personality has done a fantastic job in a lot of ways for British Boxing and thus people want to discuss him that includes the good and the bad - this is a a public forum where people from all stages of intellect what to discuss the sport they enjoy - some are even nuts about it - I do not honestly think people want to get themselves into trouble even though they might be stating un-intentionally something bad, libellous or defamatory - Seriously - I honestly believe there are many people write what they feel and genuinally do not understand or want to get themselves or this forum into hot water.

My post is written with honest and good intentions - its time to draw a line - otherwise it will cause people to discuss other areas of the sport and not the fundamentally important albeit sometimes controversial issues - sometimes peoples fear of doing wrong can raise and highly inflate the prominence of other personalities within the sport who would not normally be discussed or highlighted - and that will be the fault of the politically correct gone mad world we live in.

All his current bouts are on sky, the Fry v Clevely bill I wonder what the undercard be like? He has not got many main event fighters left. He lost Macklin and Small probably!
