I think it was for regional and national newspaper journos only. Sports Network, sorry allegedly promotions, doesn't usually allow websites writers or the public to anything they arrange.

Yes they both come across very well there. I was at Quigley-Dodson and might travel back to my birthplace for this one too and take in Everton Villa the following day.

Allegedly promotions leaves a bad taste though IMO :(

Smigga all the way, he's a got a well better suit. Looks like Quigley has been shopping at T J Hughes. Should be a good fight though. Has anyone got anymore news on the undercard?

Nothing announced apart from Brook-Jennings as far as I know. Enzo Macc was listed on the boxrec schedule too though.

I'm definitely going to go now.

Pulled out of contender when he was going to face someone who was gonna beat him and lost to Bendall who was totally washed up at that point.

I think you may find that Brook Jennings is the only fight listed as being shown by Sky.

Where do either of them go if they should win in october?
Although I think Smith will win, why is he campaigning at Super middle now? With his profile in america (being on the contender) surely he could stay at middleweight at get someone like Manfredo or Mora?. Perhaps middleweight is a little bit of a struggle, as he is very strongly built fella. I reckon he would do well if he went to America. Because he comes across really well. Not afraid to say the things that need to be said, and a talented boxer at that. He could potentially have a following to rival ricky Hatton one day.

He pulled out of contender because he was not medically fit to continue. If you reckon Smigga has got no heart, then you are very mistaken. Paul smith has got loads of heart, commitment and skill. And its great to see Liverpool fighters competing for the top domestic prizes.

Wont swifty be on the undercard somewhere?

smigga pulled out of the contender because he was injured plus had the cut which happened on the show. everyone knows that steve bendall got a hometown descion even though smigga boxed no where his potential he still clearly won the fight

I thought Smith left the contender beacause he didn't have enough points to progress to the next round.

he was probably on about the finalie him and banks were going to have a rematch but smith was injured. the points thing in series 3 was annoying it was all down hill for the contender after series 1 they were never going to be able to get the great mix of personalties an fighters again

Double main event mate. Sky are more interested in Jennings Vs Brook, obviously all the locals it'll all be about Smith Quigley but for me i'm more bothered about Jennings Brook. Buzzing about both though and travelling up for this one.
