THE BOXREC PREDICTION LEAGUE - SEPTEMBER WEEK 1 RESULTS

Here are the results of the prediction league for week 1 of September.

Myself and jammidodger are now running the show as BigMark has had to retire his position due to work commitments. So any problems please contact us.

I have also made the decision to make the Bernard Dunne-Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym bout as FIGHT OF THE MONTH. There are 2 reasons for this - the first being that out of the 36 players who made their picks, 22 went for Poonsawat and 14 opted for Dunne. It is by far the most evenly picked fight and thats what we're after - a fight that splits the players down the middle
The second reason is that there are only 36 players this month yet 56 actually voted. So the experiment of running a vote to decide will end.
We said all along its pointless in having a lopsided fight the fight of the month. The way to go in the future is that we'll just pick the fight in accordance in how the backing goes.

There are also quite a few players who failed to pick this month so there are only 3 divisions. :(

i dont think anyone has done it as it was always tough get out of the second with only 3 going up. Of course with 4 going up and down now it should be easier

Don't hold your breath you Preston Pudding. I got promoted in my first season, and then went straight into division 1, only missing out on one promotion.

Its all a bit of fun. An added excuse to get us scouring through records and looking for fight clips of a said boxer. To be honest, I don`t really care if I`m in the 1st league or the 4th league .. its just fun to take part ... not saying I don`t fully intend reclaiming my position in the top league of course

This is my 3rd month - I have been promoted in the 2 months I have participated. So, you need to lose me to get a record. After my terrible start that is well possible.
