Another Warren thread disappeared?

Post by Autobarn »

The "Blow to Calzaghe" thread disappeared.

Now I can't seem to find the thread titled something like "I see the 'Blow to Calzaghe' Thread has Disappeared."

How can Warren and his lackeys do what they do, and we get threads removed? Threads removed for discussing something that they've done wrong i.e. not paying Joe Calzaghe one of his biggest career purses.

How long till this one disappears? It is ridiculous that on a boxing forum, we cannot discuss things happening in boxing and give our opinions on it.

Sports Network who were Warrens company were found by a court to owe Calzaghe money. Joe has not been paid that money and SN has went into administration or ceased trading. Warren now has a new company doing the same thing, yet this company will not give Joe his money. In my opinion Warren should be suspended from involvement with the sport until this matter is sorted out

What I find most staggering about this whole affair is that Warren or whoever of his business associates is issuing these 'cease and desists' is so incredibly thin-skinned.
Given what he's been through you'd have thought the last thing he'd lose sleep over is some anonymoust guys on the internet having a strongly held opinion on him - if I was in his shoes I'd be thinking 'I'm a multi-millionaire and the most successful promoter in the UK ever, so if a couple of 'anoraks' on the net want to spout off then let them go ahead, I'll just carry on being successful..'
I've met a few people as successful as Warren in their respective fields and they've got enough confidence in themselves to know there are always going to be critics and they're just not phased by it in the slightest as they're too busy with their own business priorities.
But in Frank's case, the irony is that all these actions just make him look weak and petty rather than strong.

Unfortunately fella, this is just the sort of post that causes the mods problems and leads to whole threads disappearing. Whatever your privately-held thoughts, you can't say this in the public domain without being able to substantiate it.

Sorted with an edit, no need to remove an entire thread. As the annoying meerkat would say, simples.

Surely Boxrec needs some legal expert so that there is less need to automatically remove stuff at the first sign of aggression.

Its a shame cause I found a nice link about a court case based on chat rooms. I don't want to/can't be arsed to put it up again. It would seem that individual posters can get sued providing the person making the complaint has the information to contact him/her. In this case it was an MP which sued a person - cause he manage to trace his correct contact details. The website wasn't sued.

Do we really need a thread about why a thread was deleted that was about why a thread was deleted?

Where does it end?!
