Icon Status with Landmark £3.2 million Calzaghe Bridge

Post by FLINT ISLAND »

Joe Calzaghe is destined to be remebered as a all time great legend throughout future generations.

Not only will he be remebered for his amazing record of 46-0 which was mainly compiled down at the local Cardiff Ice Rink.

He will also be remebered in his hometown - with the unveiling of a new £3.2 million bridge named after the boxing legend himself.

Calzaghe Bridge

Joe the only Super Middleweight in history to win all four major titles - WBO , WBC , WBA, IBF at 168LB belts.

As well as being one of the greatest boxers who ever lived - Calzaghe Bridge will now mean he will be remebered in the same histroical context as the Knights of Camelot and the Round table, King Arthur, etc.

Calzaghe - Legend.

I dont quite understand how I am being ironic - but they were my own words......all I meant by it was when people have big statues and landmarks named aftet them their legend lives on through the centuries - Calzaghe will be a mythical type figure like Sir Lancelot and Wizard Merlin by the year 2500.
