Hello All - Questions

Post by Dan684 »

Alright there lads

New to the forum and this is my first post. I am a member of ESB which I love but getting a bit dispondent with it at the moment so thought i'd come on here as I've heard a lot of good things about this place on there.

Just interested in your views on some of these topics.

Quigley vs Smith - Really looking forward to this and thinking of going if I can get the time off. I've never really been THAT impressed by Smith but lots have told me he is very very good and that they believe he just needs that 'test' and that he'll shine on this one. Hope Quigley wins as he seems a top fella and Smith seems a bit 'iffy' to me but my gut feeling is that Smith will take it and that the others were right.

Brook vs Jennings - I like Jennings being a Manchester lad, however I really really rate Brook. As much as I hate to say this I think Brook could win this in just as comfortable fashion as Cotto did. Probably see Jennings retiring too if it happens.

Fury vs McDermott - Fury will win this inside 6 IMO however I dont think he'll go on to be a force past Euro level. He's very good offensively however he seems to shit himself whenever a glove looks to be heading for his face, and I see a decent level fighter picking up on this. Has anybody else noticed that he squints his eyes and turns his head when a punch is imminent ??

Mayweather vs Marquez - Dont think this'll last 6 rounds TBH

I appreciate that all these have probably been discussed in great detail over the forum however I didn't want to just start a non-boxing thread to introduce myself. Sorry to all

Bring Dunkey over! :TU:
That is I :TU: Thank you.

I'll try and get dunky over however he post less and less on there nowadays. Think he got a bit dispondent when Truscotts brother started threatening him ONLINE for saying that Paul had made a mistake in wanting the Simpson rematch

Dunky is sound but woe-betide somebody says something bad about a Scottish boxer

Dunky brings new meaning to the word tool! His knowledge is soley limited to Scottish boxing, and his knowledge of Scottish boxing is limited to say the least!
Nevertheless his anti-English rants must have have taken years of research to develop and I think that is where his real talent lies!

Well put coco, seem to remember him and his "scott harrison beats marquez / barrera / morrales / guzman etc..." - nothing to his arguments or points...

I remember Dunky claiming he never looked at this site... then make a big rant about me on either ESB or Boxingtalk. I have the right guy here? post on boxingtalk also?
