The allegedly Appreciation Thread

In the light of certain threads being deleted from this forum I felt it was important we had an opportunity to recognise and praise Frank for his many talents rather than focusing on inaccurate, negatives descriptions. I'll kick things off:

He never fails to support the grass-roots fans.
He never puts on mis-matches that don't offer value for money.
He loves and supports users of British boxing forums.
He always displays care and affection for boxers he's worked with.
He never lets criticism get to him.
He's a great believer in the British judicial system.
He invests his own money to ensure that hard-working lawyers can stay gainfully employed.

Please feel free to add your own contributions to this thread recognising the greatness of FW and please, like me, focus on the positives...

Haye should appreciate him, FW is the only one that has given him a payday.
Furthermore there are a lot of fighters who have earned a lot of money with him, certainly at least maximising their worth. He def has always been the best payer, opponents included.
His fighters always get shots at the title and they are always active.
I'm sure there are a few forum members who can testify to that. While Hatton fell out with him, untill that point I feel he was given a magnificent apprentiship and also earned big bucks with big exposure.
If you are in his clique you will be well looked after, you do the business in the ring and he do his job to the max. The likes of Hayemaker and Hennessy have an awful lot to learn.

it's my opinion that the picture of Ali was no coincidence when I read his column quite by accident last week.......it wasaying how Ali's been great and does great things for charity still, but that in his condition he should no longer be touring as it's too much of a strain for him and he doesn't approve of it.......and who was Ali stood with with a big grin.....yep, Wicky Hatton.
I was just waiting for the "pop" to come, and in my perception, he didn't let anyone down.

I think as the face of British boxing he is also clearly a very handsome man. His slicked back blow dried hair is the height of fashion and suits his perfectly formed face, perfect complexion and lovely eye balls.

He is obviously at one with the world and his 'each to his own' attitude to life is very refreshing in the face of such of the cynical environment he works with.

He is as honest as the day is long. Won't be long now until his knighthood surely!

I'd also add that he rarely gives bogus titles the time of day, having hardly promoted anything but WBO world title fights, which we all respect as the finest of all governing bodies, for many years.

Selflessly made David Haye a superstar by brokering Setanta's purchase the Mormeck fight then feeding Enzo to him.

He certainly knows how to put on a show, some of his Don King collaborations in the 90's were great nights, and he's clearly a fan of the sport and does plenty to support LEBA but for the good of boxing, which is in serious danger of becoming totally irrelevant in the mainstream, he needs to cut out the bogus titles and start working with other promoters if need be to deliver the best fights. Not every fight has to have a title attached to it. The days of boxing fans, never mind the general public continually shelling out for mismatches and endless WBO level fights are coming to an end.

i like his complexion, many men in their 50's and 60's show signs of heavy drinking by having pig like slitty eyes and cheeks that look like a road map of east anglia. im pleased to say that allegedly shows not a single sign of any one of these traits.

he is well dressed and his hair style is a delight, i love men is 50's style suits, it really engorges me. the slick spiv like hair is a delight for all boxing fans.

im also pleased that he does not have bags under his eyes, as i find these unsightly.
