Lacy v Sheika

Thought that I read somewhere that this fight was going ahead, I think that Sheika could win this, a lot more experienced and can bang.
That said I have not seen Lacy fight.

Whaddaya think?

Yeah Sheika has a bad defence and has looked shopworn since those Pemberton fights and despite amassing some wins including a victory over a faded James Butler i think Sheika will be fodder for Lacy's "Left Hook".

Lacy should get to him, however, Sheika looked very good against Butler and Ntoh (an underrated journeyman) and chose to box more than slug it out. If he boxes, he could make it hard for Lacy. If it gets to a slugfest, though, Lacy packs a lot of power and seemingly can take a punch.

How the hell does Sheika keep getting world title shots? He's 3-4 in the last few years. Pemberton's beaten him twice, yet is nowhere to be seen.

And Vitali Tsypko was meant to get a rematch, last I heard.

I think that Tsypko will fight for the European title I agree about Sheika
easy first defense for Lacy, I think Pemberton should have a shot he beat
Sheika twice but the loser gets the title fight Madness!!

I think Tsypko is signed to fight Rudy Markussen which should be an interesting one.

Lacy just won the title, so they're feeding him a relative patsy, though not a total one, after all, Sheika can punch. There's nothing new or outrageous about that.

Sheika's no one-punch merchant and has been in loads of wars. They're just going for the 'I did better than Calzaghe' angle. Can see Lacy giving him a right going over. Far too strong, powerful and fresh for the face-first Sheika.

Could be exciting while it lasts, but I see it being all over in two-three rounds.

I would be inclined to add that even though Sheika is shot or nearly shot and even if this is viewed as a warm up or marking time fight it is by no means the worst fight i have seen in that category, at least Sheika has reasonable pedigree and something left. This is a decent fight for Lacy after the Vanderpool matchup and could have been much worse

I think Lacy - Sheika is a one sided win for Lacy.

Personally, from a British Boxing point of view, i'd like to see Sheika in with Erik Teymour.

I can't see this one happening. Why wouldn't Tsypko not fighting Lacy - he tried before without a belt on the line. Strange one that.

Lacy should win this one, Sheika has never been in my worlds top ten and I've never rated him at all, if Sheika wins then it will be terrible for the devision (because there are a host of fighters who can beat him).

I still think it will be Tsypko, but if not Pemberton, Brewer, Mitchell would all be alot better options.
