Tyson was disrespectful, all John kept on saying is wait im GOING TO KNOCK YOU OUT,
it looked like John was going to Chin him there and then...
John is to much of a nice guy before fights, CJ his trainer normally has
to winde him up to get him in fight mood but this time Fury has already done a good job... Looking forward to it

big chance for fury, if he puts macdoughnut away with ease, then it will get noticed by the top british HW's.... and tyson can start to focus on them.

Tyson comes across as extremely arrogant in his interviews, in his own words he's "five times more talented than any heavyweight out there", and according to his dad in thta ITV feature 'Michael Spinks and George Foreman would have never lasted with this kid'.

Yes, he really did say that.

I find father & son delusional in the extreme, Fury looks a total lump in there, I hope McDermott gives him a healthy does of reality in there tonight. I'll be in the sports cafe in Picadilly Circus cheering him on!

I dont mind a boxer talking himself up, be it genuine confidence or a ruse to build publicity... it's his Dads interviews that get me. He talks about himself like he was a world champ, never mind his son.

I'd still like to see Fury win tonight so he gets to the next level. He's taken a fast route to title fights and in this day of over protected fighters, I'd like to see that rewarded.

big step up in class for Fury as Mcdermott IMO should have got the nodd against Williams first time
and still lasted 12 with Williams the second time round,

If Fury stops Mcdermott then its a big win

Can see Fury jabbing the head off him and dropping him late on or Ref saving Mcdermott

Not a world beater yet as he's a 7 Fight novice and just turned 21 but a couple more years and he will be a World beater!

David Price is just a big lumbering heavyweight...already 26 and has a dodgy chin..Fury would put him away inside 4 Rds!

tend to agree. Not seen much of him but I understand he handled Chris Burton a couple of times and he's a strong boy, and also handled Fury with ease too. So I'll go with Price too, although not a World beater I don't think.
If he doesn't start getting more fights I think he might find the gap between himself and say, Fury, isn't a gap anymore.

You can't ignore the massive physical tools at Fury's disposal.....whatever he's done so far, once he actually learns to use 'em all effectively, he's going to be very hard to beat, especially if it transpires, which we don't yet know, that he might have a chin to go with it.

I initially was saying Fury in 6 but given the extremely tempting odds by the bookies........i.e. Mcdermott 11/2 .....or 9/1 to KO Fury, I'm going to have a little flutter on Mcdermott........I just don't think the bookies know enough about Fury at this time to be offering those kind of odds.....and also, tellingly, at the weigh in Mcdermott was not all that much shorter than Fury and that really surprised me as I expected Fury to dwarf him.

Fury's yet to be tested chin is most definitely within the hugely more experienced Mcdermott's reach.......and so for that reason I will be having a bit of MaccyD KO at 9 to1.

Haha i guess there is a touch of bias there but what impresses me about Fury is his Quick hands, great combination punching especially to the body and than the head and his confidence which i see as plus.

Don't get me wrong, I am a bit of a fan of the big fella he certainly spices the game up and I'm all for it. I think he conducts himself well too when he's interviewed etc... nothing wrong with being confident.

I've just voted for Fury to win but I've just seen the Skysports video for the fight and McDermott looks in better shape than he ever has from what I remember and by the sound of it he's been training really hard for this fight so it wouldn't be a big suprise for him to do well against Fury.

I think if Fury can take McDermott's early hard hitting punches then he will win by TKO in round 5 or 6.

I like both fighters really and for different reasons

As the saying goes lets not visit the sins of the father upon the son. I have spoken to Tyson on a couple of occasions & away from the media he is a quite courteous guy prepared to spend time talking to fans without all the bollocks that comes across when some hack sticks a mike under his nosebut as we all know that's what has got us all posting about a 7 fight novice.
Lets give him a fair chance to show what he can do, I'm all for a new broom to sweep away some of our heavy's who are well passed sell by

i see fury dominating.

not sure whether it'll be really quick or just a steady beating for 5 or 6 rds.

the skelton fights makes me wonder a bit.

fury has a lot more life in him than what williams does these days.

certainly fury should dominate if he's the real deal.

his father in the boxing monthly is saying he's gonna be the best british heavyweight of all time.
