Whispers of Green v Bika early next year!

Post by Hounddawg »

What a fight this would be, apparently win, lose or draw against Jones jnr it could be on early next year.

I have to admit Green is really going for it, and i hope it continues, I always thought that first Beyer fight robbed him of a more distinguished career, and perhaps lost some good opportunity's along the way, if these whispers turn out to be true, win, lose or draw he'll give us two top fights in a row.

Go the Green Machine :box: :box: :box: :box: :box:

Would like to see this fight at Light heavy and it would probably get decent exposure internationally depending on Greens performance against Jones.
But after reading the article it doesnt seem this has even been contemplated by the fighters, but more the journo.
I would like to see Green take on the likes of Bika but after seeing Cloud v Woods lately, Green v Cloud would be a war.

Yeah that was the same feeling i got reading the Article. It would be a good match up if it were to happen (@ LT being more reasonable).

Thats a big accolade for Bika to be put in the same level as Paul Williams

Biko holds an IBO title with a weight limit of 12 stone and can still make 12 stone while Green holds an IBO title in a division with a weight limit of 14 stone 4 pounds. A weight difference of 32 pounds.

Does not sound a likely fight.

Mate Bika isn't getting any fights atm, and i can't see Danny staying at 81kgs let alone packing on another 9kgs, realistically this could happen and i heavilly favour Danny to win. It's just whispers tho

Bika's last fight was only two months ago. Granted it was a "keep busy" fight but I am sure the IBO is going to demand he fight somebody in a "mandatory" fairly soon.

Which would be good, the only problem is who is the mandatory? The IBO ranking system is not that easy to understand, the number 1 fighter in the ranking system often is the WBC,WBA,IBF champion, they use a ranking system like boxrec...... computerized.

The IBO need to consider this if they want to be taken seriously, and i honestly don't think they have mandatories because it really is just used for a bargaining chip for a shot at the afore mentioned majors.
