Why was my thread deleted ? Fury giving belt back as gesture

Can any mod explain why it was deleted ?

This keeps happenning on this site. Has anyone else had threads deleted recently ?

The thread was about Tyson Fury giving his belt back, as a gesture to John McDermott and giving him a re-match in neutral territorry, with Richie Davies as referee................and it's been deleted

The free speech on this forum is non existent.

If yo can't bring up truthful subjects in this forum, what is the point of makiing the effort ?

It seems that this forum just wants " Will Mayweather beat Marquez" type threads and does'nt tolerate anything that runs any deeper. In fact, just watch, this thread will be deleted aswell :!:

And as for the free speech on this forum being non existent - I personally think the moderators let things go as far as they can - no I am not sucking up to them because I myself have incurred their wrath and rightly so. Its the owner of this site who takes the risk with regards defamatory/libellous remarks - NOT US!!!! - we have f*ck all to take as most of us are skint - however the owner can be found guilty and have thousands to pay in court fees in any dispute with promoters etc etc.

I do not think I am being harsh - I was f*cking sh*t at the moderating lark so lets not go there - but at the sametime I lost count the number of times where the owners of websites phoned me to get rid of threads and ban people - yes yes I took that privelege way too far - but nonetheless moderating a forum of such a wide span of personalities with a massive span of intellect levels is a f*cking nightmare and to be honest boxrec are the closest I have seen to get things right

For the record and this is a FACT - moderators and the owner cannot always give explanations publically or by PM - if they do sometimes they can get in the sh*t for that too - if they let everyone know for example a thread has been deleted as a result of ongoing legal dispute or a letter from an "In House" - they can be accused of sh*t just because of that.

Let the moderators get on with their job - PM them if you have a real problem - I have and it works - many times they disagree with me and I take that on the chin - but I always get a polite and courteous response and thus turning the deleting of threads into some form of dispute ruins the good boxing threads which are far more worthy of discussion.

I would imagine, to many threads on the one topic. Quixhall has been a good addition to boxrec and his original post on that thread was sensible enough. Just probably too many on the one topic - we were getting complaints about it.

I didn't delete/merge the thread in question, but we cannot keep everyone pleased.... people were complaining about the number of threads on the subject.

I will lock this thread now, hope you don't mind guys.
