The title of the thread was just trying to bring attention to Martin Power's lack of protection as far as recent matchmaking goes.
As Frank Maloney is Martin Power's promoter, I thought it made sense to mention him and suggest an extreme possibility as to why Power's recent opponents had been so tough.

Thank you for your explanation - however - as much as I have my spats with Mr Maloney in my opinion the title of the thread is a silly one due to the FACT that deep down Maloney has not got a bad bone in his body - In addition Power is a good ticket seller and its in Maloney's interest to match him well get him winning and thus sell more tickets - however as much as I respect Martin sometimes it simply comes to a point where a fighter needs to walk away to stop getting himself beaten by fighters which he would have whooped only a short time ago.
Martin Power is one brave courageous fighter - he has been in some real hummdinger fights which have done him and boxing proud - sometimes just sometimes its time to walk away - I will be glad if Martin does like I am glad Clinton Woods has called it a day - it happens and no matter what a promoter or matchmaker does will stop a fighter getting beat if his heart isnt in it anymore or if he has simply been in too many wars.

At Bantam,power can still reclaim the title or even move down to S-Flyweight,which i know he can make easy enough.On last night performance,Hall would be too strong for Davies.
