Gavin Rees? Only Joking Deano.Dynamite Dean Phillips wrote:Why get someone from as far as that when a likely candidate is right here in Wales....
I would stick to Bennett for the Commonwealth belt personally, I think it is more prestigious.
I was wandering (in all seriousness) why David Burke wasn't considered.
Any thoughts of going after Zoff for the European title?Dynamite Dean Phillips wrote:Zhuge wrote:Go for the IBO belt instead of the Commonwealth title?Dynamite Dean Phillips wrote:Why get someone from as far as that when a likely candidate is right here in Wales....I'd be up for it.
Indeed. I'd have pushed for the IBO after the Commonwealth anyway.

True, I just expect EBU may be more useful in terms of world-wide rankings of the big 4 than the IBO belt. At any rate, I guess speculation isn't a good thing at this point with a fight looming.Dynamite Dean Phillips wrote:Well, winning the Commonwealth title will provide me with a number of options....just a case of deciding which route to take.

World ranking would depend on who you would beat to win the title, so for example the current IBO champion is ranked in the WBC's top 10, whereas the EBU champ isn't. So in this instance winning the IBO would give you a higher world ranking than EBU.
True, however, Cook is WBC #10Dynamite Dean Phillips wrote:Zhuge wrote:True, I just expect EBU may be more useful in terms of world-wide rankings of the big 4 than the IBO belt. Zoff is WBC #13, WBO #6, IBF #10

Yep, you've got a point there.
