I think Maccarinelli quite possibly have beaten Haye if he was still in his prime when they fought.

I think Haye is a class above - pllian and simple

However - Haye is flawed and had weaknessese himself - so Enzo has got a small chance of winning

But he gave himelf no chance - as he lost it mentally - he was more exposed mentally / confidence wise than anything else - he was beaten before a punch landed

Yes, but a lot of Maccarinelli's loss of confidence was due to the arguement with Enzo Calzaghe earlier in the day.

I havent heard about this :o

Of course I know there was a mistake the week of the fight that upset his preparations

But what was the argument with Enzo Calzaghe about ?

I could just imagine - Enzo Calzaghe in a people carrier - driving Enzo Macc up to the O2 arena the night of the fight - and then Enzo I bet was complelty dreading it

People say he lost it at the weigh in - but I disagree

He lost it the afternoon / evening of the fight

And then when they arrived at the O2 arena he was s##tting bricks

Gary Jacobs v Buddy McGirt. Also ranks up there with the worst matchmaking of all time. Jacobs on the verge of a world title gets dismantled by the under rated McGirt.

David Walker against Roman Karmazin

That whole night of boxing was brilliant. You had that, Holyfield/Toney, Casamayor/Corrales 1 and Morales/Espadas

Good call. I would put Hatton vs Floyd in there but Floyd was just too safety first. He beat Hatton in every department though.

I think you mean Bentleys Nightclub was also in the Mumbles.

Not to familar with all them marina places - full of homosexuals to my understanding - not my scene

Bit too young to remeber Doras and all that

But Barons is a place I frequented between 2002 until it shut about 2004 / 2005 or whenever

I actually met Frank Bruno in Barons when he was DJing there one night - and I got to shake his hand.......................................the following week he was all over the front pages after having that mental breakdown and being taken into mental hospital :o

Green v Leonard; lots of people v Naz.

But those are a bit unfair - you've got good fighters up against great fighters.

Hunter v Molitor is one.

Doubt it.

Just one guy walking head first into another guy.

Considering Khan became champ in his next few fights, and prescott was last heard of losing a decision to some dude just shows Khan had a bad night.

Oh come on look at what he beat to become champ, the night he got beat off Prescott he was in with a natural lightweight puncher, when he gets in with another one it will be exactly the same outcome.

Didn't he become champ at a higher weight class?
