Cameron, who suffered a treble fracture to his right hand during his victory over Robert Davis in Gisborne in March, confirmed his recovery was progressing well.

"I'm hitting pretty hard on the pads now, it is the top two inches I suppose," he said.

"I don't wake up in the middle of the night thinking, 'poo, my hand'. You deal with injuries throughout you whole career. I definitely know by fight time it is going to be right.

"I want this fight to happen. I could still beat him with one hand."[/quote]

What a bloody idiot saying he can beat Tua with one hand.
   The only thing Cameron is beating with ONE HAND at the moment is his dick

Proves Hoppa isn't looking for a challenge really...
I know for a fact that Hoppa was offered fights with Rahman, Meehan, Welliver and Ahunanya but has opted to take on Wilson instead.
OK fair enough, he's not ready for a Rahman, who'd give him a worse beating than McCall did. And Meehan is probably too good for him as well.
But I would of thought if he were looking to be considered one of the better fighters down under a guy like Welliver wouldn't have been out of the question.
And if he'd fought and beaten Ahunanya he would've been in the money for a shot at Cameron in the near future, or at the very least have bragging rights...

This will be a challenge for hoppa, wilson drew with solo. I have seen him flaten Nathan Briggs on a few occassions. He is tough as nails and can puch. he will drag hoppa into the later rds and then BOOM! Hoppo out cold!

I hope so Dan, honestly I do. Just think it sucks that of all the fights Hoppa had thrown at him this is the one he chose.
IMO Wilsons best days are behind him, and while he may still have enough to deal with Hoppa thats not really the point

Wilson would beat Big Bob now, he will test Hoppa and probably beat him.

Hoppa isn't ready for any of those guys mentioned as proved by Mccall, Hoppa has beaten a dinosaur Twice....so why the hype?

I think the Aus heavyweight scene is on the decline ATM, a lot of fighters who looked the goods a year a a go, are either proven their chin is made of glass or there fitness/training is like a Sumo's. Very unclear as to who will go far, some have put their hands up and a lot have just kept beating cabbies and not testing themselves.

Either way I'm losing interest, i'm not even going to the Kirby v Solo fight anymore because of Solo's last performance.

Yeah Marlin I saw his fight against Lepai but Lepai is a good boxer and hard hitter. He could land on wilson, hoppa wont

I am not trying to say your wrong i am just giving my opinion on the fight and that is - Hopp will come hard but will not have the angles or timing to land cleanly on wilson, he will be agressive while wilson covers up, Hoppa will tire and wilson will chin him (flush) and it will be all over, around the 6th.

i agree with dawg....the HW division is on the brink. It needs some of the good young talent to step it up and take over from the ageing ex-champs. Big Bob, Wilson...even Hoppa at 34 are on the wrong side of the age ledger. It's the time of De Mori, Whitehead, Edwards and Forsyth. Let's see them get at it.
