Please address this email to the board who's task it is to ensure fight fairness and sportsmanship that is delivered in boxing across the UK and British territories.

I am writing to make you, the board aware that after the John McDermott vs. Tyson Fury result for the English Heavyweight Title that took place on September 11th 2009 and was Judged by Terrey O'Connor.

I call for a review of this fight, a consideration of the final Judgment to be changed in favor of McDermott or at least a NO Contest.

I have an online petition underway that is accumulating signatures of boxing fans and professionals to support the statement of;

The petition

"By my signing of this petition. I agree I want Terry O'Connor a British Boxing referee licensed by the BBB of C to have his status removed due to his clear incompetence and dubious ability in being able to administer official decisions of the out come of Professional Boxing Bouts under his jurisdiction.

The most recent example of Mr. O'Connor's incompetence being John McDermott vs. Tyson Fury for the English Heavyweight Title that took place on 11th September 2009."

I agree with this statement and call for the above actions to be seriously considered.

Yet another thread concerning O'Connor - yet another "witch hunt" against an individual who yes has made a mistake and yes in my opinion should not be a "star referee" but nonetheless the horrible and despicable "witch hunt" against him on this forum shows what pathetic bullies some people are.

Let the BBBofC do their job if they have the spine to do so - if they then do not do their job write your letters of complaint - but an open witch hunt against an individual in open on a public forum shows what bullies some people are.

He didn't make a mistake. Making a mistake is scoring one round incorrectly because you thought a punch landed when it didn't. Scoring a whole bout completely in the wrong direction is not a mistake; it's blatant.

I agree, this is getting out of hand- let the Board do thier job, but this "Witch Hunt" is getting absurd.

There is a LOT of bandwagon jumping, too, following from the commentators comments and promotors rants etc during and after the fight.

David Payne - don't start giving me sh*t using this thread as an excuse to have yet another pop - I have taken more sh*t on here than even Mr W*rren and dont even begin to say I deserved some of the sh*t and threats both myself and my family have had to take - you yet again have a dig being wholly reliant on others jumping on your wagon to join in the "lets bait Spud" - keep to boxing Payne or cant you do so??

There are many on here who are simply "Internet Bullies" but yet be face to face with half of them things would be different.

Getting back to the thread in hand - I have been stating it for 2 days - the abuse O'Connor has had to take is inexcusable and Payne how dare you try to turn this on me is typical of the narrow mindess you have - I have no problems with the FACTs - you should keep to them and the facts concerning this and many other threads is there is an inexcusable witch hunt against Terry O'Connor - yes the scorecard was completely barmy and yes the result was wrong in my view - but the BBBofC are the people to regulate the sport not you or others.

Payne - for the last time keep the personal sh*t out of this - I am quite frankly not willing to take anymore from you.
