Re: Prizefighter draw
Why not? Would a Barrett-Hughes final be more appealing than Williams-Harrison 3?rhino222 wrote:come on matchroom.....explain it please. why was the draw seeded...??

Re: Prizefighter draw
the comp is like a amateur show? 3rounds etc and audley was a great amateur.Hagler2002 wrote:You've made an excellent case for Audley and have convinced me to re-mortgage the house and go all in.THE PRINTER wrote:Audley Harrison will win prizefighter this year...................
Re: Prizefighter draw
the man that said why is this seeded is totally correct.
It's a shoot out......(or a hide out maybe for some
D without mentioning any names).
You have to negotiate a potential 9 rounds to pick up the cheque. There is no need to seed this event, it's not like Wimledon over a fortnight or the World Cup over a month.

Re: Prizefighter draw
it should not be seeded, simple as that, people have not parted with their coffers for a competition that to all the outside world looks fixed !!
why were the big guns kept apart, that is/was half the attraction of the competition.
surely the likes of carl baker would have liked a potential easy draw first round..this would increase their chance of progressing and of course earning more money.
who was aware that this competition was seeded before the event ????

Re: Prizefighter draw
no news on sprott replacement ??
ud think with a seeded draw lots of guys would up be for it
Herbs (would put it beyond thunderdome)
krencey (if fit..unseed prob)
Dolan (standing still at cruiser)
Jegeni (match fit)
Dallas/larry o (interchangable big lugs)
Albert sosnowski would bring another bit of spice re Danny williams

Re: Prizefighter draw
Albert fighting for the EU title on a matchroom bill.
Re: Prizefighter draw
i think on another thread it said his sister died so he didnt go training cant blame him thoughTykemania wrote:Very disappointed that the big names were seeded apart - that for me gave it the impression of a build up to Williams-Fraudley III rather than a competitive competition.
What happened to Sprott btw?
Re: Prizefighter draw
yeah his sister got hit by a train. Sad news.
Re: Prizefighter draw
I thought he was fighting for the full EBU title.leforge wrote:Albert fighting for the EU title on a matchroom bill.
Re: Prizefighter draw
Yes full title I meant!
Re: Prizefighter draw
I noticed this a week ago, sounds like Hearn may have got promotional options with both Audley and Danny and the winner of Prize Fighter gets to fight Sosnowski for the European title if he wins it.stujones wrote:I thought he was fighting for the full EBU title.leforge wrote:Albert fighting for the EU title on a matchroom bill.

Re: Prizefighter draw
poor michaels sister, sounds like suicide. its been an awful year, my heart goes out to sprotty.
as for swaby, he is a decent choice at short notice, he got passed the first round last time.... imagine if lee landed a bomb on audleys chin if they met....stranger things have happened..

Re: Prizefighter draw
Does the draw remain the same? i.e. Swaby simply takes Sprott's slot vs Hughes?
