Live: Friday Night Fights
Two-time Olympic gold medal winner Guillermo Rigondeaux takes on 71-fight veteran Giovanni Andrade from Brazil for a regional WBA super bantamweight title.
Brilliant news. I am getting my ESPN subscription this week. I think if I sit up to 2am on early hours of Saturday morning it will be nice acclimatiser for the following morning coverage of the Mayweather - Marquez card.
I've not got ESPN as yet, but as soon as they get consistant quality boxing on the channel I'll be biting their hands off. Hopefully they'll be looking at airing Hayemaker and Hennessy promotions
Very cool. I'm guessing this will go nicely to lead to up to Mayweather vs Marquez (even though it's not on the channel, it's just later in the morning).

He's very good, and being hyped up like you wouldn't believe. Freddie Roach has been talking about how Rigondeaux only gives something like 60% in the Gym because he doesn't need to give more. Not sure what to make of it all, but, as I say, he looks very good.
His team are trying to set him up for a World title shot in only a few more fights!
Is't his opponent Andrade like 60-11 as a pro or something?!
So what's the craic with ESPN and boxing? So far any talk of regular domestic slots are just speculation; when can we expect something more solid? I am considering subscribing though. How many channels to we get if we subscribe through SKY?

Yeah, ESPN didnt think twice about snapping up UFC, but have dragged their heels regarding boxing. At the moment I dont think it is worth £9 per month, for the leftover premiership matches, german football, russian football, volleyball and all the rest of the other boring sports...
I agree. I like football but Russian and Azerbaijan leagues don't really appeal; even I can get football overkill!
I am waiting for something more substantial on the boxing front before parting with my pennies. Friday Night Fights with Alfredo Angulo V Gabriel Rosado aint making me any warmer
still no indication that ESPN boxing will not be shown on 5 - well not for the rest of 2009. They showed the woods fight recently... okay they did edit it, but is it worth 9.99 for the occasional boxing which is mainly shown on 5 a couple of hours later.
ESPN classics is fantastic! its still free if your on Sky Sports.
folk need to a reality check when it comes to espn with boxing .they have no reguler commitment to boxing ,they will show the FnF however there is no FnF for the rest of the year so why give them your money .personally i am not giveing them my £9 a month till they have some deals which equate to reguler boxing on there channle, and id advise other fans to do the same
