Who in australia do you think could beat mundine!!!

Post by Eric t »

I think sakio bika and maybe geale in the rematch might beat him, bika is one of a few fighters to give joe calzaghe a close fight, calzaghe is better than mundine in every way as he proved when he fought kessler, i hope it happens, they have been in talks i read, i would rather see that than geale vs mundine 2, sakio would apply as much pressure as geale but his punches would pack a lot more power than geales

You've created 1/3 of the threads on Aus forums main page...............I don't know which one to answer.........I'm so confused  I go to respond to a topic then low and behold there's another that pops up....Are you in a race? :surprised:

Mate whatever......did you watch the first fight between Geale and Mundine? An absolute classic, and i don't think because Bika hits harder than Geale he has a better chance....... Bika has floors, good boxers will expose this, another factor is Green hits harder than Bika, and green did get a lesson from "the Poof".

On a side note I thought Geale won that fight and i think he'll win this one should it happen.

Ok mate i will slow down :DDD

Did you watch bika vs codrington!!!! Bika is a beast, even joe had a very tough night with him, and sugar ray leonard was impressed with his power after watching him fight from ringside, i don't think geale has more power, But yes geale has less holes in his game though.

But bika is certainly better than the weight drained danny green who fought mundine, green still had power but he wasn't able to hit mundine, bika is a determined guy who comes forward throwing a lot of punches, he would give mundine a very tough night at the office, maybe even beat him by stoppage.

Anyone it's getting late, talk to you tomorow.

the more important question is....."Is there an Argi' that has the power to do the job?". Cause he's more like to be fighting them.

One might surprise him one day, that dominguez guy green fought was pretty good but mundine would probably not fight him because he isn't D grade, to be fair he does step up now and then.

It is a joke, he has millions of dollars and he imports garbage opponents and charges $50 for the ppv, and idiots like me are stupid enough to book them, we should all boycott them so he stops charging 50 for the crap.

Choc said he'll fight the winner of OZ Contender series.
He obviously wasn't aware Oganov was in the series when he opened his trap

I agree, Id say Mundine boxes his ears off. Geale has the best chance IMO. Unless they can entice Briggs out of retirement, At 175 id take him over Mundine

I doubt Paul could get down to 175 these days. He's almost as big as twin bro Nathan.
Years ago, you'd never figure they were twins.

i actually think mundine would have been better if he decided to step up to light heavy instead of dropping to mw. at mw he has no power and a suspect chin. he also seems more drained in the mid to later rounds. he hasnt knocked anyone out in 6 or 7 fights since he has been cutting weight. even shannan taylor said his kids punch harder than choc

has mundine fought at lhw 3 times? against Darmel Castillo, Juarne Dowling and brad mayo he was above the smw limit

If oganov wins mundine will probably think yeah another easy payday, until oganov lands the 1st punch on him

Mundine is a better boxer but victors hands are wrecking balls, he maybe even hits harder than kessler, but he has to be able to land the shots cleanly, he will be able to hit mundines body and maybe the head too a few times, mundine makes mistakes, a good body assault from oganov could make mundine fold or bring his hands down

Oganov wouldnt land on Mundine, Crazy Kim landed becuase Mundine dosnt seem to take some guys seriosly. When ever Mundine has fought a big puncher he has been prepared well and has his guard tight.

I've only seen Victor Oganov against Andre Dirrell. In that fight he looked tiny and nothing more than a journeyman. Is that unfair?

I think Bika would beat Mundine. He's got decent skills and hits very hard. Mundine's an old man now (in boxing terms) and his punch resistance is waning, not that it was brilliant in the first place (Ottke, Siaca, Kim, etc.).

It's fair, the entire fight against Dirrell was a disappointment, i can remember thinking when is Oganov going to hit Dirrell, but it didn't come :oo

I can't see Oganov doing anything other than challenging for titles......can't see him winning 1
