Hardly call thing "running his mouth". I dont see what hes doing wrong, every fighter always think they've won a close one (and it was close). What do u expect him to say?

Think its good hes putting some space between the McD fight, prob picking up a few rounds vs a journey and fighting out of england. its all learning.

As long as he rematches McDermott within 3 fights all is good. (i think he has a point bbut the commentary a very very little bit)

It's stupid quotes like this:
“I still thought I won the fight pretty comfortably though and I know a lot of people who were at the fight saw it that way as well"

Not one person outside of Fury's immediate camp and followers saw it as a comfortable Fury win. I also haven't seen anything yet to indicate he's showing the slightest bit of respect for McD.

I only watched the interview after the fight once and don't recall him praising McD, but I do recall him sounding remarkably boastful considering his poor performance in the ring.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I was actually really interested in following Fury when he first turned pro, but I just find his arrogance increasingly unbearable. I expected to see a more humble attitude in the wake of the McD fight, but I was clearly naive.

- Fury's fighting 2 weeks later after supposedly absorbing an all time pounding from McD according to many on this forum.

How can this be when their champion won't be able to pick up a glove for another 4-6 months? How long does Fury have to wait for McD to sort himself between pies?

Fury might be 20-0, 19 KO by then, so I fancy McD to announce his retirement. Much easier and tastier to shove the pies in himself rather than having the gumshield shoved for him to chew on after it hits the canvas.

I heard him saying that McDermott was better than he thought and I also heard him say that he would fight McDermott back at Brentwood.

There is nothing in this interview, it's just a boxer doing what they should do, talk themself up and talk others down. Ok it shouldn't go too far but he hasn't in this interview

He clearly praised mcdoughnut and offered him a rematch in the post fight interview.

IMHO fighters dont offer a rematch straight away unless they know they've won by fluke or a lucky decision.

It may come as a bit of a shock to people here, but I'm going to take a contrarian view here.

I like Tyson Fury.

He comes across to me as an articulate, intelligent lad who uses his sharp mind to call out boxers and criticise them to build publicity, which is fair enough, but unlike some others who have done that, when he's not drumming up noise for some fight or other, or deliberately making himself a target, he offers some excellent -- and invariably sensible -- candid insights into his own psyche and the game as a whole.

There's not much he says that I would disagree with -- when it's not obvious PR -- and I simply think he's confident and honest.

The other thing I like is the fact he keeps busy. It seems that fighters now only fight four times a year if they're big names, and unfortunately, if they're big names right at the start, that means they start fighting once a quarter, which in my view is no good. These guys are much better fighting once a month and seeking out quality sparring, which Fury does.

I like him, and wish him every success.

It wouldnt be the first time someone said in the heat of the moment yea ill fight him anytime
and once the dust settles it goes total different direction or has another couple of fights to make sure they improve.

Fury and intelligence don't mix well.

Guy thinks he would of stopped McDermott had it been a 12 rounder. This guys delusional and is being way too rushed without learning anything because his promoter is delusional and is a wannabe bigshot.

Well, I really don't think he looks like a surefire world champ, or anything. Frankly, from what I've seen, his technique leave a great deal to be desired.

But he's learning, and he needs tough matches against the likes of Big John to do so.

His personality's a different matter. He's confident, sure, but at least he's articulate enough to argue his case, which sets him apart from the likes of Audley Harrison. And, in my view, when he's not obviously in PR mode, he talks a lot of sense.

Fury and intelligence don't mix well? What, like, when Fury meets intelligence, he feels ill? Or they mix with explosive results? I don't understand.

And who's this Guy fella who reckoned he could have beaten McDermott over the championship distance?

I am seeing simillarities to audley harrison here.
You thought Harrison was articulate and intelligent?

You thought that he spoke sense sometimes, when not in obvious PR mode?

He fought regularly and really seemed as though he wanted to get involved in tough fights?

tbf i've already got more respect for fury than i had audley.

least he went for a minor title after only 8 fights and he's still only 21.

not milking it on his bbc deal like audley was.

audley was already past 30 and needed to go for it.

I meant Fury thinks he would of stopped him if it was 12 rounds according to the ESB article.

Yeah maybe he gets diarrhea or something.
