Scott Harrison believes he has already assured his place alongside Scotland's boxing greats.
The WBO featherweight champion thinks he will be remembered as fondly as boxers like Ken Buchanan and Jim Watt.
He will break Watt's record of five successful title defences if he beats challenger Samuel Kebede on Friday.
"My name's set in stone already. It's just about how far I can go but I'm sure my name will be alongside greats like Jim and Benny Lynch," he said.
"They will be talking about me in 100 years' time."
Providing Friday night's fight goes according to plan, Harrison's team are close to agreeing a title unification bout with WBC champion Injin Chi in March or April.
"We have got this fight to take care of first but we are in very good talks with Chi and his team phoned me to let me know that the terms they have asked for they will accept," said Harrison's manager Frank Maloney.
"He will defend his title voluntarily in December and sometime in the new year we can make the unification fight."
Meanwhile, Kebede is confident of shocking the Scotsman.
"I haven't watched any tapes of Harrison," said the 30-year-old, who is unbeaten in 24 fights.
"But after the second round I will know all about him.
"I'm very confident because I've never lost a fight and it's no problem for me to fight in Glasgow.
"I can change my stance and think I will confuse him. I am hungry for this fight and I have been waiting a long time for it to come."

Oh dear. Scotty must like the odd tipple, it's hard to believe he was sober when he said this (if he even did. It sounds like something Maloney would say). There's a long way to go before he's up there with the Scottish greats. He'll have to win himself a legitimate world title before comparisons should even begin.
Harrison is in cloud cuckoo land. Harrison is ok, but is one of the most overrated boxers around.
As things stand I would rate Gary Jacobs higher than Harrison in terms of facing tougher opposition and achievement as far as Scottish boxers go.
Talk of him being up there with Watt and Buchanan is downright offensive.
