Tough one. I can see many scenarios when Rocky wins but Marciano never met a force like Tyson and I think Marciano's typical late rounds assault would be offset by the damage done by Tyson's initial attack. Tyson by close decision

Hate to put it this way, but Tyson would decapitate Rocky. No other way it could go. Rocky never fought anyone with that kind of power. A young Tyson walks right through him. KO in under 3 rounds.

Plus, that young Tyson would have been harder to hit because of the head movement.

Marciano by TKO in the later rounds.

Tyson by KO or TKO, but he'd need to be on top form to stop the man with one of the best chins in boxing history, who would not even fathom quiting until he was out cold.

Has to be Tyson for my money, by late TKO

Rocky never met anyone like Tyson.

Rocky's best opponent, (Charles) was a better boxer than Tyson IMO but as for sheer power and all out agression, few match Tyson.

If the fight was held in 2004, (with more squemish refs), as apposed to the 1950s, Marciano would be stopped, probably on cuts around the 9th round.

I pick Tyson by KO, simply because he was such a fast starter, and had better boxing skills than Marciano. Do not get me wrong, however, Marciano was a great fighter and would not be afraid of Mike.

In his prime, though, Tyson was masterclass, extremely elusive, good footwork, and the most unique and lethal combination of punching power with tremendous speed - no one has ever possessed that like a prime Mike Tyson did!

Tyson by KO inside four rounds
