Not when they are of the WBO variety no!... but world titles used to be the pinnacle of boxing they are what many great fighters dedicated their lives to striving for... now boxings been dragged down to Wreastling.
Brodie was one of the few boxers of this era that dedicated himself to winning a internationally recognised title... he failed but proved himself more of a champion than Harrison will ever be!.

Scott Harrison disagree's with you. He talked many times how heartbroken he was when he lost his title. A fight with Brodie would mean nothing at this point. The 1st Chi fight took everything out of Brodie as was clear in the rematch. Maybe he did duck him in the past, or maybe instead of a Harrison fight he went for the WBC title twice, and one time before. A more creditable belt than the WBO as everyone knows. The WBO have had a big reputation for their crap challengers in the past. Mger Mkerchian who Calzaghe fought for example was their no.1 contender at supermiddle. Abelyan didn't look up to much to me either, another no.1 contender.

Jorrin's promoters must have made a few moves because that was a travesty. He then got another very dodgy decision against Larios I think it was, but at least Larios got revenge and fucked him up in 1 round in the rematch.

A lot of you seem to forget that Harrison had fought 2 excellent former world champions before he had reached his 14th profesional fight. Fair enough they were past there best at this point, but how many other British fighters do you see do this nowadays? Dont think Hatton and Calzaghe took anywhere near that type of risk in that stage of there careers, i mean you just have to look at Hattons next victim in nearly his 40th fight before being over critical.

But Thompson is still a very dangerous puncher... is punching as hard as he did in his prime and also he was coming off a good win when Haye faced him. Harrison took on Patterson and Robinson early in his career but both fighters were on losing runs and a long way from their best. At the time I wouldn't criticise Harrison for those fights as they were fair building up fights at that point of his career, the problem is now that they are looking like the highpoints of his career.... who else has he fought???...... who has he fought in their prime. Harrisons management have become ultracautious since he was upset by Medina, who was well past his best but still managed to upset Harrison.
