How has this happend.

Seems like Kiko Martinez, a guy outclassed twice by Rendal Munroe, has got a winnable fight against Takalini Ndlovu in an eliminator for the IBF title. Just how has Martinez warranted this opportunity.

must've been his stunning points win over Ghiompirica in his previous fight.......

Credit for the win over Dunne, but that was a very long time ago to still be dining out on and he's done nothing since to justify anything like a world title shot. He'd have to beat someone passable before he was deserving of another crack at the European.

Bad call IBF. But what's new in that.

Martinez looked a long way off the fighter he was against Dunne when he fought Munroe for the second time.

I think Rendall just needs to be patient because the opportunity is going to come round and I think it will eventuall be the WBA title Dunne currently holds and I think Munroe will fight the winner of Saturday's fight in Dublin.

I cant see Martinez getting a decision in South Africa though.

How come Munroe beat Martinez for the European title and since then Dunne has got a shot at the WBA title and won it and Martinez is in a winnable World title eliminator

To be fair we didnt see much of Martinez in the Dunne fight, he came, saw, and whacked him out. I was there that night and Dunnes entrance was about 20mins long, compared to 90 seconds in the ring. The only happy guys in the whole arena was some bloke ina sombrero, spanish outfit and maracas dancing infront of the ring whilst about 10,000 irish fans threw beer at him.
