Agreed,
He is a true warrior, if Marquez accepts it will be a great fight....2 warriors toe to toe in a all out war. He is exactly what Australian boxing needs.

I love the way Michael goes about it. However, he needs to fight the big fights....win the big titles......and make the good coin.
The comment about Katsidis being a Gatti type fighter is oh so true.
He is a non-stop puncher, amazing work-rate, good chin, stops punches with his face for defence, it is GREAT to see someone like him do well.
Is he the most talented Aussie-born fighter? I don't believe so. But he does arguably have the biggest set of balls and the least regard for his record. He's taken some dangerous fights to get his name out there and lately, at least, more often than some of our bigger names. It's fantastic to see and I can not commend the guy enough. I've yet to see a boring Katsidis fight.
The latest fight, the judge that gave it against Katsidis, well, can I have some of the drugs he's on? They seem really good.
As for the comments about him promoting his Greek ancestory, I don't see any problem whatsoever with that. It helps get the Greek support to add to his fanbase, but he's not claiming that he's Greek, he's saying he's Greek Aussie. Nothing wrong with that. For years we claimed Kostya was Aussie, it wasn't until later that I noticed him being called Russian Aussie.
Was very impressed with Katsidis. He's always been fit, strong and persistant, but he showed a quantum leap in skill in this fight. The Katsidis who struggled with Earl and Amonsot probably wouldn't have beaten Escobedo, but the improved version beat him with ease. However it does appear his power is somewhat overrated - he looked an absolute destroyer earlier in his career, but he's not putting them away anymore. But a minor complaint - the positives far outweigh that now and he's among the best at lightweight. Plus adding that he frequently fights abroad, with his combative style, he should be a household name in Aus!
He should be a household name, he's learnt more from fighting overseas in the last 2-3 years than here in Australia, I think it's about time he returned for a big bout here in australia, but maybe the law might prevent this.
I'm big on fighters that rematch guys they previously lost to, so either of Katsidis's loss's would be a big event here, I'm still not sure about Marquez just yet, i know he got owned by Mayweather but he had to go up 2 divisions for that to happen.
law might prevennt hhim fighting here-???please explain mate.Is it somethinng to do with hhis assault charge???????Be a damn shame.
As for your commennt OF with regards to hhis power ,me personally i never thought at the top level he ever hhad the one shot power.Good to see his other skills improving as you say. Hate to be one of his opponents bodies after fighting him-hmmmm my urine is full of blood and everytime i breathe my ribs hurt....for weeeeeeeeeeeeks. Relentless that boy.
At the top level versus a big hitter he is a kO waiting to happen as does still get countered cleanly BUT lss often now which is great. Marquez-at this stage i reckon no.would b a great fight while it lasted but think he nneeds to improve a bit more. Nate Campbell-now that wouuld be good-I see Nate imploding due to the pressure. Hope so if it happens-make him eat his words about the helmet. Thinnk at this stage of Nates career he would be destroyed and give up mid fight.
whoeever he fights it will be a good opponnent annd a great fight. At least he made it to the 6pm news albeit briefly. when that happens its a progression from just bing on sports tonnight highlights....we can onnly hope his exposure increases.he bloody deserves it.

Katsidis was sentenced to 8 months gaol in 2002 for assault. He refused to plead guilty, claiming self defence, so the judge got the shits and gaoled him.
This was used by the Homeland Security clowns in the USA to try to have him refused a visa. Katsidis did his time and has fought several times in Australia since the end of his sentence.
just imagine if everyone who assaults someone gets 8 months. 1/3 of the population would do time at some stage (including our women folk and so-called protectors!). Without knowing the exact details, as only those directly involved ever can, it appears to be another case of our justice system getting it wrong.
I would love to see Katsidis get a title shot against Khan he would give him hell he is getting better defencivly and is just so relentless and has good power I think he's a threat to every LW out there
Katsidis was cleared of a broken jaw in this fight and apparently will not fight again this year due to his wife having a kid, congrat's to the Katsidis family.
Awesome fight and win by Kat. Love watching him fight, just relentless pressure.........I hope JMM accepts the challenge, it would be a great fight.
Kat made metnion in the local paper about possibly brining the fight to Australia !!! Good luck Michael, you deserve it.

I think it may go further than that. Rumors afloat... ;;-)
Permanent residency in US is a problem due to his criminal record. Returning to OZ is another. I believe, if & when he lands on OZ soil, constabulary will be the first in line to welcome him home & question him on an incident just prior to leaving OZ to fight Amonsot
