Wales,
I was commenting generally, and seeking your general view mate.
Apologies if its not come over that way.
You only have to look at the shite posted by the likes of Tommy Gunn to realise how fed up I get.

So why was it moved then, I presume there was a reason? And I don't believe Frank would go to a Maloney press conference, let alone one up north

You would have to ask Steve Wood why it was moved.
I can't think it would have anything to do with Darren's funeral.
Mrs Maloney and Mrs Maloney Senior represented Frank, who understandably was in no position to travel.
Rhodes was all ready for Tuesday then got a message via Wazza it had been moved to Thursday.
Wazza is Rhodes Manager, and definitely wanted to be there - fact.

you'd think this fight would be too big for both men, with the WBC elim tag. obviously it can still take you years to get a shot after winning an elim, especially if it's not a final elim...but with rhodes' post hayemaker status - does he even havea promoter now? - there can't be much else out there for him. so it would seem crazy if he didn't turn up.

Bullshit excuse? The same one that Steve Wood used for Quigley not doing one in Liverpool recently. Rhodes won't pull out of this one but Moore might, he's pulled out more times than a Catholic priest, he's the one I'd worry about if I was you. Rhodes, I hear, has even turned down a straight World title fight, for more money to take this one, so fair play to him.

.
So whose genius management decision was it to turn down a world title fight to face Moore for less money than the world title fight?

That's either the most hilarious lie I've ever heard, or the worst management since Ruud Gullit left St James' Park.

Ryan won't turn up, you won't turn up and now I'm not turning up...anyone else not turning up?

He probably was - it might be sorted - who knows?? - the jungle drums are beating on this one - maybe one of us around here can get to the bottom of that one!!!

As much as I like Steve Wood it seems the teddy has been thrown in the corner - he has now got his minnions and sympathisers like "Wales" and the other cronies crying foul concerning Ryan Rhodes - I think Steve is a top man and Jamie Moore is too - they do a lot for the Army charity side of things and I am sure I will be able to persuade them to do a bit more in the future.

But - what is troubling me on this issue with Rhodes/Moore is the simple fact that because Jamie and Steve come on here and in addition Jamie's promoter Frank Maloney - hardly anyone has a bad word to say about them & rightly so in many ways - however does that mean Ryan Rhodes must be wrong in all of this? - I am as guilty as the next man in assuming too many things and sometimes its good to be armed with some FACTS before making assumptions. I am positive when all of what has gone on with Ryan Rhodes will tell us in this particular case he is not as guilty as some are making out. In addition if Jamie knew some of the facts concerning Ryan's non show at the press conference he would understand - and before anyone says anything I dont know a thing - I just know Ryan Rhodes who is an honest family man who wants to earn a living for himself and his family and he simply would not mess people around for the sake of it.

All of this fuss is certainly helping "hype" the fight up a little bit more - but are the noises coming from Team Moore a sign they are a little more worried than Team Rhodes!!! :TU: :box:

Counter,

I actually think Jamie Moore will win the fight - just about - however - with Jamie and his manager Steve Wood moaning about basically a non show at a press conference tells me the nerves are starting to show and maybe Steve Wood is worried this time around.

The fight is a big fight it should sell out any arena in the country - Team Moore have always struck me as a team who simply go about their business and let the others do the shouting and screaming - this time around its not the case.

This fight needs no hyping - surely there are hardly any tickets left for the Bolton Arena - and surely Sky TV will really do a good number in advertising this one - if they dont they are simply nuts - anyone who is a boxing fan should watch this fight because its going to be worth it - all Sky need to do is draw in Joe Public and really get some good viewing figures.

But back to Wood and Moore - their reaction this week has really surprised me - you would have thought being Manchester United fans they would have been on top of the world after seeing their team cheat their way to victory with a winning goal in the 6th minute of 4 added on minutes!!! :TU:

He has got to pay the bills - and people go on about Ryan Rhodes and withdrawls from fights - lets be honest here - Jamie has also had his fair share of bad luck through illness and bad luck too. Rhodes in some ways has had even more bad luck with inacitivity with what has gone on with Hayemaker and now being a free agent and injuries have prevented him from earning some dough - but dont just point the finger at Rhodes here.

There is no question both fighters will be there on the night - and there is no question for me this will be one of those fights I am going to remember for a long time - Moore wins but only just in a hummdinger of a fight!!!

A bloke was telling me when I was in shop near the Arena his son works there and that the promoters are asking for extra seats to be put in!!!

Really dont know why Wood is worried and why he is bleating about Ryan's non show!!!

Completely agreed - perhaps if Steve Wood gets his finger out of his harris and worries about that instead of Ryan Rhodes then he could persuade the TV executives at Sky this deserves a longer billing on our screens!!!

Come on - Maloney and Wood - get your promoters heads on stop worrying about the opponent beating your man and get a longer programme on our screens for the fans!!!

Spud ,

Me and Jamie are still nice guys , just dissapointed that Ryan did not turn up when one of his co-managers was ready to take him and allegedly he wanted to come. Sometimes we have to look at the big picture and make our own minds up - Ryan will know he should have been there and will be more than likely regretting it now.

Anyway ,that is behind us now and the show goes on . My advise to you is get them short arms into your long pockets and buy a ticket before they have all gone.
