sounds like there were lots of poor stoppages on this hatton show. but definitely a great performance from macklin, and great career progress made. asikainen went down badly from that impressive left hook of macklin's, the first knockdown. but the 2nd knockdown, he beat the count and was staring the ref in the face, and it was the end of the round. macklin would have won anyway, but any fighter would be pissed as shiit in asikainen's place.

will hatton be able to get sylvester over in the UK? if not, it will be a totally different experience travelling for a world title fight. sylvester would appear suited to macklin, as he is strong and aggressive.

Did not like the stoppage to be honest, he was about to survive that first round in my opinion.

The BBBofC are looking for new refs!!!

It's a shame that to be a judge you have to qualify as a ref in this country.

I thought it was a very good card, It was a great result for Macklin proves he might be ready for world level.

Horton should've boxed Renda instead of trading with him as Horton doesnt seem to have a big shot and thats all Renda really has is power he isnt a great boxer, Martin Murray needs to step up the competition maybe fight the winner of McDermott vs Butler I do like him though he is a very good boxer who uses his jab very well and has good body shots

Joe Murray looked impressive put his punches together well and seems to have adapted well to the pro's I also like the look of Quigg who was patient and also had good body punching and good combo's he needs to step up the competition as well imo. Thompson fought well the guy he fought was tough but came to survive he looked strong and had an authoritive jab

It was a very good bill by Hatton imo lots of good fights

Well done Matthew, but a little disappointed with the interview after the fight, you'd have thought Ricky was his trainer the way he was talking, not one mention of the man who has helped him get to be European champion, Well done Joe Gallagher!

don't know about the rematch, result looked pretty clear to me. The Italians are chasing it but I doubt it'll materialise.

Sadly I think the only place outside Germany Sylvester will fight is Austria...

I can imagine there will also be a clause demanding a rematch (In Germany), if Sylvester would happen to loose (ie get KO).

Macklin's an exciting fighter and has a golden chance to get some belts now and his name out there. Hopefully Hatton will be able to get something decent sorted for him.
