I was very impressed with the coverage from Sky last night, don't know whether it had anything to do with Macklin's fight finishing so soon but I was pleased that they showed so many fights and they didn't seem to skip many rounds if any.
Hopefully they can keep it up though.
On another note I thought all fights were entertaining, so well done to Ricky Hatton, even if some of the fights were so one sided that they were funny.

Re: Sky last night
I agree it was a very entertaining card but I like ITV's format better:
2/3 before the main event like like night SKY could of shown
Renda vs Horton
Quigg vs Schroeder
Thompson vs Abajian
Macklin vs Asikainen
Murray vs Spencer to finish it off I think that format is better it gets you up for the main event more imo

Re: Sky last night
think i actually prefer the sky method.
don't forget itv's coverage starts earlier.
so building up to the main event makes sense.
11 o clock main events would piss u right off tbh.

Re: Sky last night
I think FNF starts too late...its basically 5 mins build up then straight to the main event, an 8:30/9pm start would be better with more build up and the best undercard fight on first, before the main event at 10pm.

An excellent debut on Sky for Hatton Promotions.ourkid1984 wrote:On another note I thought all fights were entertaining, so well done to Ricky Hatton, even if some of the fights were so one sided that they were funny.
Re: Sky last night
Agreed but they really need to stop showing highlights of the fights right before they show them. What on earth is all that about :x :x
Come on sky this doesn't happen in any other sport and can spoil the excitement and 'as live' feel to the prelims. Pretty please.

Yeah. Kinda like move trailers at the cinema. Whats the point if watching if you know what happens? I remember once they showed you the finishing punch and then say "Don't go anywhere. Stay tuned and we'll show you that....again!"chinny wrote:Agreed but they really need to stop showing highlights of the fights right before they show them. What on earth is all that about :x :x
