What Cowards the Bookies are, i see PaddyPower has Tyson fury 1/200 on and his opponent 25/1..
If a person is such a Favouite to Win surely the opponent should be 100-120/1...????
Watching Tomas Mrazek in his last fight there is no way in the World that he can beat Tyson.. 25/1 is VERY Cowardly..

Betting is a mugs game! I finally understand that. Have been pissing my money away on betfred goals galore coupon to no avail
Re: The Bookies
Bookies have a licence to print money, with the number of racing meetings each day and the exrta races at each meeting plus the number of runners in each race,in Ireland the festivals they have is a bookies benevolent fund, the evening meetings at Dundalk with the dog racing after the horses is one good example of the chances the punters have NONE,the bookies say the more races there are gives punters more chances to make money betting what a joke,a bookies paradise is more like it.Better to stick £50 a week on the lotto with a perm or wheel

Re: The Bookies
I'm quite successful when it comes to betting as long as I stick with boxing, Macklin KO at evens and Poonsawat KO at 4/1 this weekend, Daws stoppage win at 8/1 last weekend, it's when I start betting on other sports it all goes tits up.
Re: The Bookies
1/200 is saying the person has a 99.5% (technically 99.5025%) chance of winning. That is to say, if the fight were to hypothetically happen 201 times, Tyson would win 200.Londonirish wrote:What Cowards the Bookies are, i see PaddyPower has Tyson fury 1/200 on and his opponent 25/1..

25/1 is saying the person has a 3.8% (rounded) chance of winning.
If the draw was also given at 25/1 , then the bookies "margin" is the 7.1% over 100%.
Thats pretty normal.
