he's got a good chin.

stevens is short & stocky.

plus he don't give much away.

froch is rangey.

plenty of target to aim at.

i don't think dirrell will be as defensive in this one.

There is nothing wrong with Froch's chin, jesus, is everyone on here mad? Taylor is a puncher, always has been, it's just that he had shit stamina at 160, Taylor was a huge middleweight, and was clearly weight draining like mad to make the weight.

Froch took bombs off pascal, who went on to win a title at 175, so how on earth is Froch's chin bad?

Utter madness.

Adamu was a good learning fight for a still green Froch. A tough man from Accra with a good amateur pedigree. I remember Adamu took apart Courtney Fry at the Sydney Olympics and had previously beaten the slippery Barney not long before Froch, in just his 11th fight beat him for the Commonwealth title. If Adamu committed himself more, instead of juggling a job as a policeman he could have been a force.

Fact is, Adamu is perhaps as good as ANYONE on Dirrell's record.

Now, prove me wrong on that.

He rolled with the punches well against Pascal and also recovered from KD against Taylor very well (this is a testament to his fitness). But if he continues to take flush shots and show constant disregard to his defence then it his chin will start to crack. I think it’s a good chin, one of the best in the UK presently.

No I did not see it, I obviously know he won by a KO in the last round. I got the idea that Taylor just outboxed him, I don't know if he hit him with any flush shots.
Maybe spend more time watching boxing, and less time posting about it. Clips of this fight would be easily found on youtube, if you are interested in watching boxing that is.

He's got a good chin, but some people are failing to grasp that we only know this because of the inherent flaw in Frochs style.

Taylor sent him to the canvas last time out, and there is no way he will go through this tourney without going down a couple more times, I suspect a stoppage loss along the way. Just my opinion, hope I am wrong :TU:

Oh and I don't personally think Taylor has one hit power, he's never knocked anyone out for the full count in his entire career.

dirrell may snatch the first four rounds then his inexperience at world level will show and froch may get to him eventually,i wouldnt be shocked at dirrell on points though but im leaning towards froch still.

this super six tournament really is a fantastic concept.

How good is Froch's chin?

Answer: Very.

Next question.....

Can't believe it's even being questioned!

"How good is his defence?" is an altogether different issue. But his chin? Very good.

I don't think anyone's failing to grasp that at all. What makes you think that?

I'm thinking of betting Dirrell on points. I don't want him to stop Froch so I'm asking about Froch's chin.
Go for Dirrell in any guise and you'll lose your money.

In front of his Nottingham fans, Froch will beat this boy and send him packing before 7 rounds are through.

Froch`s chin is harder than a Siberian slag`s nipple.

I don`t understand why it is even being questioned. Just look at some of the shots he took against Pascal (and Taylor)

I have argued before that having a good chin is not just about whether you get knocked down or not, it is also about how you handle getting knocked down (if it happens) and how quickly you can recover your senses.

Calzaghe has a great chin, but he has been put down several times. He always got up pretty clear headed and that is what constitutes a great chin in my opinion.

Take Froch against Taylor, he got knocke3d down in the 3rd and in his own words "had a little composure, looked at Rob, did the 8, got up and knocked him out in the 12th round, what more do you want"

People have been banging on about Froch's chin since he started - he is now The WBC Super Middleweight champion Of The World - even if he was to be beaten in his next fight and never fight again he has achieved what many thousands of boxers only dream of and that is being the holder of a reputable world title belt.

His chin is rock solid in my view - his defence anyone has to say is a tadge suspect but getting through to him now he is a world champion is going to be a non starter as he will think he has done very well for himself with the style he has been using.

With all of that said there was one fighter I did not want to see him fight until his very last fight or certainly near it and that is Mikkel Kessler - I am a big fan of Froch but he gets beaten at this stage by the dane.

I'm a bit shocked that anyone would back Dirrell in this one. He's totally unproven at this level and while the guy has fast hands and good skills he also gets hit an awful lot and is fighting in Froch's backyard.

I only see a Froch win by late stoppage here. You can get 9/4 on a Froch win by KO, TKO or Disqualification and I think these odds are very generous given Froch's KO power, Dirrell's poor defence and Dirrell's inexperience at this level.

Froch undoubtedly has a superb chin but he is getting hit far too much due to his arms down style. Dirrell isnt going to beat Froch but I think Dirrell will keep him busy with his fast hands. For me its a 70/30 matchup and wont go past the halfway point. Froch will have problems with Abraham and Kessler though. If he could beat those two, which I doubt, he really would be the true World champion.
