Australians vs Mexicans
Why is it that the ¨TOP WORLD CHAMPIONS¨ such as Anthony Mundine and Sakio Bika are afraid to Fight my Fighter, Rogoberto Alvarez?

Re: Australians vs Mexicans
coz your fighter is ranked number 59 in the world at super middleweight and has a decent record with a decent ko percentage...and that spells RISK for mundine, and mundine wants no piece of that.
as for sakio bika, im not too sure..he's chasing mundine too...may be hes after bigger fish

Re: Australians vs Mexicans
Probably because they don't have a clue who Alvarez is - much like me until I looked up his record.Mexican Match-Maker wrote:Why is it that the ¨TOP WORLD CHAMPIONS¨ such as Anthony Mundine and Sakio Bika are afraid to Fight my Fighter, Rogoberto Alvarez?

Here's a suggestion: rather than targeting Mundine or Bika, why not aim for someone more modest like Les Sherrington? After all, both Sherrington and Alvarez have losses to Gare.

Re: Australians vs Mexicans
what a ludacrous statement?...this is mundines main criteria when selecting opponents...mundine doesnt fight people with known names and decent records.mano loco wrote:Probably because they don't have a clue who Alvarez is - much like me until I looked up his record.Mexican Match-Maker wrote:Why is it that the ¨TOP WORLD CHAMPIONS¨ such as Anthony Mundine and Sakio Bika are afraid to Fight my Fighter, Rogoberto Alvarez?

just check fightnews.Mexican Match-Maker wrote:would you be so kind and tell me... where is Bika and Mundine ranked? besides the piece of poop IBO
bika is ranked at #7 at smw
mundine is not ranked in the top 15 in either mw or smw

Lol, are you serious???
It is probably because this is their living so they do it to make money. Your fighter has no selling power. Bika won the contender and is a (crappy) IBO SMW champ, and mundine has won the WBA world title at SMW and the (crappy) IBO mw title, not to mention has a big following in Aus due to his football career and the fact that he is a very successful indigenous athlete.
Im sure your fighter is a good fighter but he offers them no reward for their risk. If they fight him, he won't help generate a bigger revenue for the fight, a loss to him would be near career ending, a win over him would give them no leap in rankings or recognition.
If you want to get your fighter fights with these guys, bring him to Aus and KO some of the top rated domestic fighters and then call out the big boys

But I say again! This is mundine we are talking about!!! He fights argentine plumbers that no one has ever heard of anyway, so what difference would a Mexican make that no one has ever heard of?dan h wrote:Mexican Match-Maker wrote:Why is it that the ¨TOP WORLD CHAMPIONS¨ such as Anthony Mundine and Sakio Bika are afraid to Fight my Fighter, Rogoberto Alvarez?

Re: Australians vs Mexicans
A - Because when mundine fights a nobody he doen't make as much money so it has to be a nobody that will come here for a good feed and a couple of bucks (ie - argies) and pose no threat what so ever.
B - Not only will the mexican be more expensive but I dare say he is a better fight and therefore more of a risk for no more reward, get it?
Remember it's professional boxing because it is a boxers profession. Getting paid is all mundine cares about!

hey mexican u heard of daniel geale?
Re: Australians vs Mexicans
One could easily deduce from the comments of the "mexican match-maker" that Mexicans have tickets on themselves.more tickets world wide
Now that that would be a most tedious of occupations:making matches. Must be a hard decision working out which end of the match to stick on the chemical!

Re: Australians vs Mexicans
Actually it was David Birchy (Bika's Trainer) who came to us, and ask for the fight, we agreed to the
fight and the detail proposed by the Promoter, but then, what do you know? they turn around and say ¨no thank you¨
we are waiting for a bigger fight, and guess what? they dicided to fight Nestor Casanova (Im guessing Casanova is a Biger Name) ... so on my books they are afraid of Alvarez because at the time, he was undefeated.

Casanova is a much bigger name. Everyone knows the name Casanova. Whether it's the boxer himself or not, the name is certainly bigger than Alvarez.

madball you have to be kidding me, if you havent heard of the Alvarez brothers you are not so much into boxing Saul Alvarez is the youngest and Rigoberto is the oldest, and they are making a lot of noise in the AMERICAN CONTINENT
Re: Australians vs Mexicans
The reason for the turn around was the "peice of poop" IBO refused your fighter as an opponent as he is nowhere near the top 100 and had never beaten a rated opponentMexican Match-Maker wrote:Actually it was David Birchy (Bika's Trainer) who came to us, and ask for the fight, we agreed to the
