Super Six questions
Super Six questions
1) Does the TV company buy the rights to a fight, or to a round of fights, or to the tournament?
2) Has the second round of matches been drawn yet, or do we wait till the first round is over?
3) Is there a contingency if someone drops out of the tournament?

Re: Super Six questions
Only guessing but:-
1) not sure, i suppose it's down to whatever promoter in that part of world does. Be daft to sell each fight indivually as you could end up with 3 fights on 3 channels i suppose.
2) I think they are agreed in principal. Froch has Dirrell, Kessler, Abraham in that order.
3) Maybe or they just drop out the running.

Super Six Questions is about the tournament not the amount of questions - as you well know!
Re: Super Six questions
So if a TV deal is for the tournament, then thats all the fights, every one of them... so who owns the TV rights now? or the right to sell? King?Emerson Poncey Name Ghent wrote:Switch answers 1 and 2 around.
Re: Super Six questions

Re: Super Six questions
what happens with the belts ? are they on the line ? if so what about the Mandatorys that arent in the tourney ?
Re: Super Six questions
In that instance Showtime didn't own it as King owned the rights, but in this one I though it was Ken Hershamann's idea (at least he claims it is) so Showtime owned the rights.Wales wrote:So if a TV deal is for the tournament, then thats all the fights, every one of them... so who owns the TV rights now? or the right to sell?
