Does anyone apart from me and MightyWarrior not have a terrible feeling about this?

The sort of lack of certainty about how things will pan out that leads to X British fighter going into foreign lands to be chopped down. Call it the Williams/Sam factor.

I just have a feeling that Valuev will take everything Haye has. Remember when Haye landed that big, clean as anything right hand vs Fragomeni in something like round 5? The Italian shrugged it off and kept coming forward. Sure, Haye got to Frago in the end, but after how long and how much digging deep? This is a whole different ballgame - a giant of a man with likely better punch resistance than Frago. Who has ever made a serious dent in him? I have no doubt he won't be chopped down in this fight, leaving the unappealing option of Haye by decision as the best outcome for David.

The problem is, I just can't see Haye managing to negotiate his way through the entire fight without being caught. Haye has never been in a fight where he couldn't hurt his opponent - this will be the first. And as soon as he realises he isn't equipped for this kind of distance fight, he will likely panic, go for broke, and go down fighting. Haye doesn't have the constitution to be able to guts out a dogfight vs a giant brick wall like Valuev, so while he is infinitely more skilled than Ruiz and Chagaev et al, he has to rely on spark or be sparked tactics up with the big boys. Vs Wlad, a least, everyone could see he at least had a puncher's chance against a guy with a proven questionable punch resistance.

I am desperate for Haye to win this - but I just can't see it. I am all over the 11/2 available for Valuev KO - but I will be made up if Haye wins and I ill be cheering for him. No bad outcome for me.

I hope I'm not being blinded by my desire for him to win, but I genuinely believe Haye can hurt Valuev - his speed will be a huge factor and there are enough fighters out there who've sparred with Haye and testify to his power to convince me he can put the giant in trouble.
I also believe that he does have the constitution to gut it out - witness his heart in the fight with Mormeck and he's been in the trenches with Frag and with The Cat so will have taken invaluable learns from those experiences.

Yeah, this is just how I feel- I can't see Haye winning this at all.

I have a feeling it will be stopped on a cut or something disappointing similar to that.

I think Haye can win - he's fast enough and has the skill.. For me, I do worry he'll struggle to get close to Valuev so he can land scoring punches.
