Re: Prizefighter "Weigh In" Results & Latest Betting
Well rumours that Danny was in respectable shape were wrong then.
The guy is 6 foot 2, he should not be near 19 stone!![[icon_witsend.gif] :witzend:](./images/smilies/icon_witsend.gif)

All the while Danny keeps his tracksuit bottoms on I never trust any weight given for him.
The man loves to add a few weights to himself now and then whilst on the scales!
Looking forward to this.

i cant see danny williams winning this. He doesnt strike me as the person to do 3x3 rounds very well, but i might be wrong. I think audley will win.

Danny is the joker of the pack, he could just easily lose to the plodding Carl Baker as spark out everyone on his way to winning the tournament....

Cant see "Chicken Shit" winning. Spencer Fearon says Danny is really up for it and well conditioned so we shall see.

If Danny's weight is right, he's huge. Was expecting him to come in at around 17.5 if he was taking this seriously.
I like Williams, I hope he does well, but this doesn't look great.

I think this whole tournament is about which Danny Williams turns up on the night. On song & on form he'll destroy everyone. If not, he could easily lose to Carl Baker in the prelims.black panther wrote:Danny is the joker of the pack, he could just easily lose to the plodding Carl Baker as spark out everyone on his way to winning the tournament....
any Prizefighter weigh-in pics at all?.....
....at least we'd be able to see for ourselves who's looking the part at least.

Harrison WILL NOT WIN PRIZEFIGHTER! I'm 100% confident.
Re: Prizefighter "Weigh In" Results & Latest Betting
I had a dream last night that he did. Therefore it must be true.

Yeah, I'm sure he has admitted to strapping weights to his legs for weigh-ins before, unless of course he was using that as an excuse for being so heavy.Tommy Gunn13 wrote:is that right Yiddo???yiddo14 wrote:All the while Danny keeps his tracksuit bottoms on I never trust any weight given for him.

Re: Prizefighter "Weigh In" Results & Latest Betting
Any chance of a shock winner outside of Harrison/Williams here??
Got to say the number of rounds will suit Audley down to the ground but his price at the bookies is not too appealing!!!
Is the tournament really down to 2 fighters before it even starts?
Someone the other day said to me he is having a few quid on Coleman Barrett - I remember when he came to Hennessy Sports as a I think a Cruiserweight and struggled in his fights - so I cant see him doing anything.
Really looking forward to the tournament - I am hoping there will be a shock or 2.

I suppose at 9/1 gammer isnt a terrible bet if the two big names dont turn up and the Hamemr does.

There seems to be only 2 names getting attewntion here, Harrison and williams. Ive got a crap feeling Fraudley will win this but hey, 3X3 rounds is proberly his limit.
once he wins this i'm sure he will progress to the Mothercare championships and possibly walkthrough the contenders of 'The Early Learning' championships. But, he will meet his level in the 'Toysrus' fightfest!!

I suppose you all realise the sh*t that is going to happen if Audley does win.
I am really wondering what the media will make of it - will they jump back on the hype wagon or will they remain consistent in their criticisms?
What will all of us make of a Audley win?? - surely we will all have to eat humble pie!!!

Re: Prizefighter "Weigh In" Results & Latest Betting
Have a look at trying to pick the winner of the Perkins/Hughes fight - and whoever gets through that fight causing an upset in the Semi Final.
Its a long shot but worth a little bet.

I think only a fool would eat humble pie if audley beats a load of novices and a fat, overweight, shot Danny Williams.Spud wrote:

Re: Prizefighter "Weigh In" Results & Latest Betting
If Audley wins and looks impressive, i.e. stoppage wins in all three fights and does not fight scared then he will deserve some praise and for the public to give him at least a bit of backing. If he scrapes wins by points and still looks like he might sh*t himself everytime someone throws a punch, then the public view of him will be no different. A genuine world class fighter would destroy this field and I don't see anyone doing it here.
I go for an Audley win but I would not be surprised if Gammer pulls it off. Williams we all know is more than capable of winning it but I don't think he has enough left and could be on the wrong end of a shock result.

Re: Prizefighter "Weigh In" Results & Latest Betting
Exactly, this means nothing. As the blog on the BBC website said... Audley is fighting for 32K - thats all... and thats all it means in the grand scheme of things.Wales wrote:I think only a fool would eat humble pie if audley beats a load of novices and a fat, overweight, shot Danny Williams.Spud wrote:

Sure it could mean a "bit" of a platform to go for the British title - but even winning the British title nearly 10 years after his last amateur fight isn't "humble pie" worthy. This means nothing on global terms.
