got a text off a mate today saying that the aberdeen assassin may be getting a shot at mezzache.

anyone else heard about this or could elaborate further?

that is fvcked that mcallister gets a shot ahead of thaxton and murray - in spite of the scot's talent. mezaache was a voluntary defence for thaxton, so surely there was something in writing that he had to fight a hennessy fighter.

hennessy puts on the best shows but i don't like how that european title's just gone out of reach.

ok, should have been a rematch clause for thaxton, surely. or a one fight option. IMO at least they could have made mezaache an offer to come here and fight murray. it's just strange to see that title gone before they've had it 15 mins.

it's a voluntary defence by mezzache, i think mezzache fought the mandatory in his last fight after he beat thaxton. If macca wins this one, i think a murray re-match would be on for the british/commonwealth/european titles (providing murray wins tonight which he should) would be a great shout for murray to be able to win the lonsdale outright and take the euro and comm. titles to boot if that one came off.

It mentioned in the boxing news that Mcallistar could possibly fight Mezzache next month but it also said that John Murray could fight him if he gets past Thaxton
