I have to believe Quarry would've been too strong for him. Cooper never really showed me he could deal with someone as capable as a peak Quarry, who was unfortunate to come around when he did. He could box, he could counter-punch, slug, take a shot (though his chin, for mine, is over-rated) made his share of tactical errors, sure, but so did Cooper, who hadn't the same talents, or, truth be told, fire in the belly.

Quarry stops him late-on in a reasonably competitive affair. I can see some success for the more measured Cooper.

active guys are a night mare to deal with. They offer a smaller target, while
you present a bigger target to them. This is one of the strengths of a Tyson,
Tua, Qawi etc.

lead against Cooper, and followed up with his left hook, it would cause Henry
a lot of trouble.

Hard to punch down at the shorter guy.

Guess that is another reason why uppercuts from the right guy can be so effective on the short, active guy.

Frazier = quintessential short, active guy against Ali in the FOTC.

p.s. Didn't check any records, but Quarry didn't seem to be a short guy to me.

I see Quarry's right cross as the finisher against Henry, just as in the Bodell fight, but not nearly as quick.

Patterson finished Cooper with a right as well.
