I'm thinking the same thing!

Jesus Christ, talk about a mismatch. I'll give Quarry the benefit of the doubt and assume he could survive a round or two tho. Quarry would come out swinging, and that strategy would backfire immediately, and he'd be getting laced ten times worse than anything he ever got laced in his career.

Rocky Marciano KO 2 Jerry Quarry
in an absolute, 100% mismatch and horror show. I'm thinking Manny Pacquiao-Ricky Hatton in terms of heavyweights.

IMO.

:D

Dear Stillmatic.

Thanks you very much... Until now, I can't understand how Jerry Quarry is comparable with Rocky Marciano

Uh, aren't you the gentleman who has Rocky by knockout in the very first round over Quarry, Ken Norton and Floyd Patterson and bases at least part of your reasoning for those predictions on the second Marciano-Walcott fight???

Dear Yancey,

Yes, I'm the Spanish-Scottish who thinks like you said; the Rocky-Jersey Joe II was only a reference; I based my opinion (is only an opinion) in all the career of Marciano...
Thanks!

Well I checked and after his 13th pro fight Rocky KO'd exactly 2 people in the 1st, one of them being Joe and the other being the 230 lb Bill Wilson. So I guess that establishes a good solid basis for Rocky stopping Quarry, Norton and Floyd in the 1st.

Martin, are you telling me that you really think Rocky would stop Patterson, Quarry and Norton in one round?

Dear Martin,

On the first page of this thread, I asked for your quick thoughts on...

Rocky vs

Ali
Foreman
Liston.

Maybe you missed my question.

Do you think any of those guys survive the first round with Rocky?

Will you favor me with a reply with your thoughts on my query?

Best regards, and thanks so much in advance!

Your friend,

Yancey

Please, Yancey, excused me, you're right: I missed that question... Ali, Foreman and Liston aren't the same thing that the other boys: I thinks Rocky would beat all them, too, but so far of the first round... and also by K.O. You query, of course, is very good! The best for you!

Dear Robinson,

Thanks for your question; sincerelly, there are, fortunatelly, more than ten greatest heavyweights who may be --each one--, in respectable opinions and options, the #1 of all... In my modest and personal opinion, the best heavy of all times is between Joe Louis or Rocky Marciano, both in his prime...
