re tami mauriello...silkov is right...tami did fight as a middleweight. i knew he had a kayo over steve belloise but thought it might be a catchweight match. when i checked boxrec to be sure i learned that tami actually started as a welterweight, which surprised me.

before i leave this colorful fellow...two more items...like galento, tami was also a bartender. physical oddity....he had a bad heel...forget which one...which made it difficult...almost impossible for him to back up. an aggressive guy....hard, hard puncher....he beat a lot of good fighters, but gus lesnevitch added some big wins to his resume by beating him every time they fought.

My pick is Sam Langford. In his later years he was as fat as a little pig and blind but was still knocking guys DEAD...

I like those classy type heavy hitters that once they know they landed that shot, they back right off. As seen in that clip. Tommy Hearns is a good example.
