the super 6 layout

Post by boxerbob »

has anyone got the layout of all the fights???

cheers

ps: are the fighters on a set amount of money for each fight or is each fight individually negotiated????

eg: group stage match....250k

semi final match.....500k

final match..........2m winner 1m runner up

Thats a crackin' question. The official site has the opening round but nowt for the second/third group bouts.

Froch definitely travels to Copenhagen to face Kessler in his second match. Abraham in the States for Dirrel/Ward.

Read somewhere that the 3rd set of bouts are in neutral territory with Froch to face King Arthur.

Who choses which fighter faces who, in the 3rd phase?

You get points for winning etc, the two with the highest points fight in the final.

I think.

2 points for a KO win, 1 for a decision, 0 for a loss. And the top 4 out of the 6 go through to the semi finals after the 3 group matches!

I'll crawl to that one if I have to. The great thing about this format is the range of fights it throws up across Europe. The final should be in Europe, it will attract a bigger live gate.

I'll crawl with you pall, would love to see that. Who will be at the Dirrell fight btw?

Ditto . Eck double ditto!

Will be an invasion of Copenhagen..no question about it. Worth have a prelimary mooch at flights/hotels even at this early stage. Second mortgage job though, not the cheapest city in the world.

It's a tidy format. Even a loss would'nt rule anyone out of the running to progress to the later stages.

Would still love to know how they're gonna chose the final round of group matches though. If they all fought each other in a genuine round robin, this poser would'nt come up. As it is, they have three fights each, with each boxer missing out on two rivals.

I still don't understand how this is going to progress - what if say Direll or Ward get KO'd inside a minute - what next? Surely not another title shot - that'd be a tough sell

Parken Stadium mate, for a Summer shootout! Will be a massive event too. Kessler not had a really big fight back home for 3 years by the time the Froch fight comes around.

Cobra needs those 2/3 points this weekend!!

Vital 2 points for the Cobra with Kessler away next up. 50,000+ capacity for Mikkel's homecoming.

Copenhagen in March looking favourite. Roughly between 150 to 200 quid (from M/cr) for that time of the year. I know a few Froch 'fans' have fell off the wagon, but i'd keep tabs of the official announcement, before the flight prices are raised.

What would happen if for instance taylor, who has now been ko'd bad in two fights decides that he wants to retire and who could blame him if he did.
