Yep, I know, my own belief is its about 40,000 but I was trying to make the math easier. I was never good at vulgar, or even slightly distasteful fractions.Buncey wrote:Davido,
Your Boxing News figures are way, way off.
Let's hope that Primetime does great business - they want to go with a fight each month. Also, they have given me a chance to get back and that has taken some serious nuts.
Adios.
Like you, I hope it does well. I do find the £2.50 booking fee reported here somewhat vulgar however. I'd rather it was £15 and advertised as such. But thats me just reverting to internet anorack type (must watch Falling Down again soon).
It is an impressive pair of matches, and their monthly aspiration is encouraging.
Good luck with it.

Re: Primetime Bunce
Is there any sort of undercard to this fight?
I'm not paying 16 quid for just Froch-Dirrell. Hell naw. It's basically an HBO 'Boxing After Dark' kinda fight. Pretty weak really.

Re: Primetime Bunce
I'm tempted if both German and Nottingham undercards are being shown. Better value than I expected.
Re: Primetime Bunce
As of about a year ago (when I last checked), BN was selling about 10k as an average on the newsstand. Add in a fairly healthy subscriptions base (I'd guess around 3k) and you're talking a 13k circ with a 'pass-on' rate of 2/3, so total readership is roughly 30-35k.DavidPayne wrote:If the Boxing News readership is 100,000.
Re: Primetime Bunce
You have to order it on their website www.primetimelive.co.ukman grenade wrote:Can you order this with your sky remote or do you have to do it online or via the phone number provided on the channel?Just tried to order it using the remote and it has been set as a reminder but it didnt actually confirm that id ordered it.
I am not sure if you need to connect your telephone line to the sky box to actually receive the PPV programme. I used to order Setanta and MUTV etc without having to bother hooking up my telephone line to the tv but I am still unsure about Primetime TV?
I read this on another forum:
Question:
Can I get primetime on an old sky digibox with a lapsed sky subscription? (I could get Setanta).
Answer (by someone from Primetime):
As long as your card is still 'active', you can buy the PPV. You don't have to be a Sky subscriber.
And you must attach a phone line so your card can be activated.
I do not know if the above answer only applies to folks that are existing Sky subscribers, I would feel a lot better if I got some confirmation on this.
Re: Primetime Bunce
id also like to know if the stream is garenteed to work internationally i.e. in Barbados?
i know im doing alright but i dont wanna piss money down the drain and pay basically to be dissappointed.

Re: Primetime Bunce
I'm going to tell my 'casual fan' pals as there is no way they'll find out otherwise.
This is great news. I guess the key point is that we wouldn't get it through the 'normal' TV channels so you either buy it or not. I'll be buying even though I'll also be at the Arena.

Re: Primetime Bunce
Likewise will the live stream work in South Korea? I don't want to have to rely on one of justin's and with both super six fights this is actually worth paying for.
Re: Primetime Bunce
If Khan sold 28,000 with Sky advertising this will do less. This is a shame for Froch he shouldnot be in this position.

Not the case Ant. See my earlier reply.Ant Evans wrote: Boxing News does around 7000.
