I have to admit I was not impressed at all by Waynes performance against Mellis last night on the Hatton undercard. Maybe Wayne was just being carefull because of their first fight but the facts are Mellis is just a journyman fighter with a good punch. And Wayne failed to look good against him.

Wayne has been calling out Winky Wright, although I wish him well, all I can see is Wayne taking a beating and a payday against the quality southpaw.

e was discraseful in my opinion, its the first time ive seen him also, i couldnt belive how poor he was against limited opposition.

WINKY WRIGHT,Him calling him out is a joke he would get knocked out within 3 rounds/ I dont rate wayne that much he can bang hell yeah, but will never win a genuine world title. hes british/wbu level.

to be fair he looked shot to fornicate just before the ko against takaloo, wayne seems very vunerable when he gets caught with anything like a shot to body or chin, i think talk of winky is a bit of hype, there aint a light middle in the uk gonna get a crack a winky.

Well i think you are being a bit harsh, he was tlaking santos when i spoke to him at the york hall. Secondly iut was a rematch at late notice with a guy who sparked him not so long ago so I can forgive him for just getitng the job done.

Boring as it was.

I like Wayne, but the weekend's fight was awful. He looked a little too timid for my liking, he just didn't appear as if he wanted to commit. It seemed to me like he had lost confidence in his own chin, and he was half expecting to be hurt by Mellis. A couple of years ago, he'd have battered someone at the sort of level Mellis is at.

I think the time has come for Wayne to either be fighting in big fights all the way, or retire. To me he looks like he could be stopped at any time. If it's going to come, it might as well come against either a top level boxer, or a decent domestic rival. I'd rather not see him end his career being stopped against journeymen, which sadly, I feel is a big possibility.

I agree with what you are saying, wayne seems like a nice guy, i have seen him a few times at the york hall and it was a re match, but melis should'nt cause wayne any problems, wayne should look at santos or a big money rematch with tak could be an option.

Totally agree, Alexander for me is chin shot well and truly, as soon as anyone lands half flush he will go IMO but still he can be a player at domestic level if they get him in with the guys around his level, i.e. Williams, Moore, Jones etc As for the world scene though, no chance i'm afraid.
