All this messin around is a joke.

why cant you just give an advisor your skycard number and hey presto.

Im losing a lot of respect for Hennessy. His ideas are laughable. He certainly knows how to isolate fans.

I've actually had no trouble getting this pay per view sorted. The guy I dealt with via e-mail this afternoon at Primetime was well on the ball. Can't wait for fight night now.

I'd have much preferred for it to have been on tv for free though.

You can get them cheaper than that fella I'm sure, I have one for my PS3 and I know I definitely wouldn't have paid that much for a cable!

I'm utterly baffled to what is going on, I signed up to the website and paid £2.50 then I plugged my phone line into sky and went to skybox office events and pressed select which added the event to my planner but from what I've read I haven't a clue if it is booked or not :witzend:

surely this could be done?
You get that 'rolling screen' effect though i think otherwise that would be cool.
i dont care about a rolling screen if i get to see the scrap for nowt.

And everyone will complain when primetiome stop showing boxing becasue nobody subscribes.

If you've got one of these on your swanky TV and one on your laptop then your in business mate.

You'd just need that HDMI lead from pc world or wherever.

You can also watch your downloaded fights/movies on the big screen like this too.
And if you haven't got an hdmi output on your pc, you can connect via VGA instead, providing your tv has a VGA socket which it will more than likely if it's a modern flatscreen.

You shouldn't really pay more than a tenner for an hdmi lead. Don't be fooled into going for bi brands as you're only paying for the name. Hdmi is a digital signal so it either works or it doesn't, unlike analog where the signal can dgrade/get lots of interference if made from cheap parts.

Any one of these 3 will do: http://www.play.com/Search.aspx?searcht ... 21&go.y=12

Anyone got the number to speak to an operator there, rather than the automated voice?

I booked it on the phone, but there's no sign if the box accepted it, and I don;t want to find out it didn't on Sat night.

I'm going out Sat, but was hoping to tape it - and my guess is I have to wait till 1015pm to hit the event button to tune it in, then record - bit of a feckin pain is this

On the night you will get the usual red button in the top right of the screen "Press red to purchase"

When you select that, the box will dial out and confirm if you've paid or not.

If you have then the show will begin no probs. If you haven't then you'll get the old "ring 0898... to book this event"

At the moment primetime have just got a rolling advert, on the day it will have the buy-now function on screen i promise.

NOTE:-

If your buying this to record, then make sure you select all the segments on the night in your SKY+ planner.

Because they will be going to and from freeview mode to entice people in to buy the show. Its possible than some of the undercard fights will be free, then will scramble again when Froch or Taylor start to fight. As a result of this, the programme guide will not have 1 x 6 hour show. It will be broken into chunks and you'll need to seperate record all the chunks individually.

haha your welcome.

Basically it's a bit like porn.

Some you can book through your TV but the real filth involves a call to a call centre to book.

(apparently)

If your laptop has got a vga out

and your TV has got a vga in

you can use that instead. The PQ may not be as good as hdmi (although a lot of times it's just the same) but it's got to be better than a laptop. Should cost you less than a tenner for a lead as well.

If you're watching a web stream I'm not sure HDMI vs VGA would be an issue.

Any ideas if you can order it on the Saturday???? Cause it says you must order before the 17th to Watch live.... but then says you can order on the 17th for an extra two pound.

I don't have a telephone line so I can't watch this then? F***

What a ball ache. I'd love to support Mick Hennessy and Primetime in their efforts but I'm already exasperated with this booking process.

I've just called the number listed on Primetime and was asked to press "1" to register. Then the automated message asked me to press "1" again if I wanted to buy the event at the special price of £12.95, which I did. I then had to enter in my SKY viewing card number, which I did, and then my telephone number, okay. I was then greeted by a message saying "Unfortunately your sky viewing card number appears to be incorrect". To obtain your correct number go press Services on your SKY remote blah blah to obtain your correct number. So I do that only to discover this number is exactly the same as the one listed on the back of my card!

I've tried three more times unsuccessfully to purchase so, unfortunately folks, I'll be missing out on this too. It shouldn't be this hard, a) for a fighter of the calibre of Froch not to be on an established channel or b) for those few diehards who want to see him on Primetime to be able to simply order it with minimum fuss.

The Hennessy Sports PR team have been working overtime to plug Froch-Dirrell and have even requested that media outlets please plug that the fight can be watched on Primetime when mentioning it. My personal experience has been infuriating. Before anyone asks, I do have a telephone line which is connected to SKY so I can't understand what the problem is.

Emailed this bloke Adam. He seems like a good lad.

I'm getting the stream. Watching it on Sunday. I've got the link ready. Will get my boy (kids instinctively know how technology works) to click the link I've set up so I won't see any of the results.

This is going to be a great weekend!
