Glad to see Dirrell had to drain himself to make the weight!

im just home from the weigh in and it was very enjoyable, froch made the weight with ease, dirrell came in at (late at 1721) 168.4 so embarassingly had to go away for an hour to lose those 4 ounces.

froch, in an interview said how he was pleased that, while dirrell was in the gym working hard, froch would be in the restaurant enjoying himself, froch also commented that dirrell will need every ounce of energy he had got come tomorrow night, so was delighted that more gym time was in order.

dirrell appeared again some 1 hour later (looking a bit pissed off) and clocked 167.6

so....froch is winning on points so far, but team froch are not counting their chickens, mick hennessey mentioned that froch et all know just how talented dirrell is and they have been working on defence.

personally i think froch might just have a try at jumping on dirrell in the early rounds, and if that fails, carl is prepared to let dirrell sap some energy then hopefully catch up with the yank and finally close the show in the last trimester of the fight.

meaty mick was a bit perplexed as to what the rules were should dirrell not make the weight (obviously title not on the line but what about the 3 points?) but he need not have worried.

the rest of the undercard weighed in without problem, i managed to grab a few words with jean pascal who anticipates a very tough fight for both participants. antonio tarver was also in attendence, as were a good few thousand nottingham public !!

Thanks Rhino, excellent report. Tarver must be there with Showtime then. I hear he is a superb TV analyst.
