Lewis tips Rahman to beat Vitali.

Well in one article (The BBC one) he says that Rahman would give Klitchsko a "decent fight. " However, in an article on seconds out he actually tips Rahman to beat Vitali.

he actually said it would be very difficult for danny but would love him to beat vitali, if VK shut his mouth about hoiw he was robbed when his face was falling off dont you think lewis might just stop tipping everyone else on the planet to beat VK.

for non-brits it looks like Lewsi feared a rematch in order to talk Vitalis opponents strong and Vitali weak. Vitali knows he lost the fight. but because he felt to continue boxing he wanted a rematch. that´s all. Lewsi retired so he should just shup or try to talk realistic like all other ex-champs.

Apparently J, Lewis' commentary for US TV before the fight was very different to that he said on the UK TV. From what I have read, he did seem to think Danny could beat Klitchsko and tipped him.

I don't know what lewis has against Klitschko, everyone he fights he tips to beat Vitali and even gives tips on how to do it...he should just lay off and let Klitschko get on with his career.

I think Lewis wants someone to beat Klitchsko, so that people will stop urging him out of retirement.

It's Klitchsko's era now, Lewis' time has passed, and I think he would be best just leaving it alone and not going on about who will beat Vitali.

Lewis originally said that he didn't think Danny could do it, but I think he then bowed to pressure to support the British fighter and didn't want to appear churlish by being negative about Danny's chances. I think his original comments were the truer ones.

I think Rahman has little or no chance of beating Vitali, again, too short, he'll have his moments, but remember how Lewis' jab made mincemeat of Rahman's face? Rahman has scar tissue from an old car crash I think it is, and it will open up all over again against Vitali.

I don't see ANYONE out there who is going to beat Vitali, I think he might retire as champ.

Lewis has a dislike of Klitscko and seems unable to give him any credit. He also changes his mind every five minutes - one minute Danny had no chance, then he had a chance if he aimed for Vitali's eyes, then he had a good chance then he was going to beat him etc etc

Lennox talks nonsense.

Also I believe Lennox would have been beaten had Vitali's eye not cut - Vitali was getting his second wind whilst Lennox was done (just look at the different reactions when the fight is stopped - Lewis doesn't even get off his stoll, whilst Vitali is charging around and shouting and very animated.)

I agree. Just who is there who could beat him.

There is no one who could get close enough without getting nailed. Even if they do get close enough, who can hurt him.

I think he could make at leat 6 defences, then retire.

I warming to Vitali, I think he could turn out to be a very good champion.

I did agree, but I think Lewis has grown to respect Vitali now. He seemed very respectful in his interview with Darke just before the fight. He said Vitali had a lot of good points.

If I had to give anyone a chance against Vitali it would be Hasim Rahman. He's clearly knuckled down properly for one last campaign judging by his shape for Meehan. He's got a long jab, decent right hand and has seen just about EVERYTHING there is to see in a boxing ring.

Poor Danny was brought down to earth with a bump, but Rahman is not going to be contained quite so easily. He will certainly be the next serious challenge to Klitschko whenever the fight happens.

Agreed. I'd still make Vitali the favourite, but a fit and motivated Rock can punch, is reasonably quick about the ring, and might at least move his chuffing head a bit, unlike Danny. The one time Danny came forward with any menace, he had Klitchko stepping back with his chin in the air and waving his arms around, much like against Sanders. I'd still pick Klitchko to break down Rahman by around the 8th or 9th, but Rahman would have a chance if he could keep the big man on the back foot and against the ropes.

Funnily enough, I think Roy Jones would have beaten Klitschko. You have to be fast. klitschko holds his hands down very low and I think Roy could quickly capitalise and get in and out. Would have been a great fight IMO.

I think Klit-RJJ would have been just like that, maybe Jones impressing for a round or two and then gets caught with nothing more than a jab and it's goodnight Vienna. Up and down like a yo-yo until it gets called off.
