This is a hard fight to predict

Taylor, Pascal and Dirrel are better skilled boxers than Froch but what he has that the other's dont is tremendous stamina which means he can fight hard for 12 Rds.

I get the feeling that Dirrel dosen't have much faith in his chin and could make this into a stinky fight by running for all 12 rds but just doing enough to get the decision

My Prediction would be the same for the Taylor vs Abraham Fight

If Dirrel and Taylor make it to the end of the 12th Rds they win therefore Abraham and Froch both need Stoppages to win, i dont see it any other way.

Froch to win TKO 10 when the ref steps in.
I'd say the hometown atmosphere will be a tough call for Dirrell to rise above, certainly against someone like Froch.

No chance of Taylor getting a decision in Germany. He only way of winning is via. stoppage - and I wouldn't rule that out.

Hope Froch pulls it off, but I've got Dirrell winning this. I'll be chuffed if I'm wrong.

Is Barry McGuigan paying attention?

Taylor kicks off the supersix action against Andre Ward in Berlin. Ward, gold medallist in Athens, is my tip to cause an upset in this tournament, which spells trouble for Taylor.

Mikkel Kessler called Carl Froch last night to wish him luck. The pair will fight in March, in Copehagen. - http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/5 ... -ring.html

I've picked Dirrell on points, so that should mean an early KO win for Froch.

I know what you mean, its a hard one to call this fight, as Dirrell is pretty untested.
But i really wasn't impressed with Froch last time out, obviously he pulled the KO out of the hat late on, but before that he was ordinary, seemed completly out of sorts.

froch tko3.. froch jumps all over him and hurts dirrell in the first, dirrell rallies back in the second with some slick boxing but froch catches up with him in the third, knocks dirrell down, then the ref stops the fight with dirrell dazed, on the ropes and taking a pounding !!

its like every1 has no faith and think hes an accident waiting to happen.

Carl 7th!!!!! :bag:

(seriously, british boxing needs this win)!
why does it.

this fight won't get major coverage even if froch wins in the 1st rd.

when amir khan fights it gets good press.

he's more important to british boxing than froch is.

and david haye cos it's at heavyweight.

this is gonna be a paint job. :bag:

dirrell on pts. :OhYes:

Rhino - it is vital Froch does not start slow - he cannot afford to against a slick boxer who likes to get into a rythmn - Froch needs to start early and batter the yank - If he fights the way he should - I think the fight will be over with the Referee calling it off after 57 seconds of the 5th round.

Come on everyone get on Spud's prediction!!! :TU:

I see Froch being too powerful for Dirrell and walking through his shots. Dirrell will have that sick, silly grin on his face every time he gets nailed and will really feel it to the body. Froch to get him out of there in three rounds in a fairly one-sided fight.

at first I thought Froch late KO, now I think Froch could just go out and destroy this guy quicktime. If Anthony fricken Hanshaw can back Dirrell up and drop him in the first minute (!) Froch can go out like he did vs Pascal but have more of an effect. I think Froch could be tempted to get into a tearup early in this one once he senses Dirrell doesn't like it, and from what I've seen of Dirrell I don't think he has the constitution for the type of fight Carl brings.

I'm going to say Froch TKO 4 with Carl just going out with bad intentions from the start and never letting Dirrell find his rhythm. He's going to land on Dirrell and hurt him early, possibly dropping him a couple of times before the ref stops it. This is dependent on him having the sort of start he did vs Pascal, and with home advantage and the way he sees Dirrell, I fully expect this to be the case.
