First Boxing show in York for 10 years Views and thoughts ?

Post by tijuana1 »

Historic night for York says the Evening Press, First boxing show in a decade since the days of British Common-wealth and European Champ Henry Wharton. Any views and thoughts to anyone who went ? It must be a positive for boxing in general. Full house total sell out. I heard some people who attended where not even boxing fans but may well be after the show.

I think it's fantastic that boxing is going to places where it hasn't been for some time.

If I'd have known BoxRec News was going to be up and running this weekend (I thought it would be a bit later), I'd have tried hard to get someone there as this type of bill deserves support.

Well done to all concerned.
