Froch v Dirrell on primetime was free??? I think.

Post by split_decision »

Ok so I'm tuned into watching the abraham / taylor fight on some online network and after its finished some guy in the chat room points out that if you switch on 480 on sky you can watch the fight. Of course I was a bit sceptical thinking it was just the freeview portion, but sure enough it stayed on during the whole of the Froch fight and I was even able to sky+ it (fat chance of it being watched again but at least I could do it).

Anyone else tune in to this for free? Or was I just lucky?

Odd, I heard something like that on another forum-- they stuck it on for free, because of issues with the subscription or something- IE so that people who had paid didn't miss out, they just made it free last minute???

sounds like nonsense.

No. If you pay for a service, and get that service, the deal is done.

Unless they claimed "This event will only be show to paying customers", in which case you could claim false advertising maybe.
