Walker has been KOed 3 times. He is rated higher than the undefeated Awad because of winning a couple of minor titles against a 43 year old Japanese with a fairly ordinary record.

Walker is a fake. Jameson Bostic was put forward to fight him not so long ago and he ran a mile!! Bostic would stop him inside 2 rounds

kerry was meant to originally fight him when kerry fought mumtaz in melbourne but jonny pulled out after seeing kerrys tapes
we tried to organise for kerry to fight him on the mundine vs taylor card but his manager said it was too close to the christmas break(fair enough,but we did give 6 weeks notice)however kerry spoke to his manager in wollongong before the mundine fight and he said jonny was dropping to smw which kerry allerted him he also was doing but then jonny went up to cruiser(not because of kerry)so it was just an excuse cause he thought kerry was a lhw only
basically he should not be mentioned on a boxing forum till he stands up and deserves recognition
we have tried 3 times to fight jonny but jonny will not oblige
jonny is a decent fighter but too protected
i could understand jonny refusing to fight someone out of his league but kerry was only 6-0 when he was scheduled to fight jonny and is still an unproven fighter today at ony 21

funny,when we spoke to jonnys manager in january we pointed out it would be the first ppv fight of the year, good exposure for jonny and a half decent fight(mundine vs taylor) and his manager replied it was a crap fight and no one will be interested or go to it and then we see him at the mall in wollongong the day before the fight

Who's Kerrys opponent likely to be at years end?

originally kerry was hoping to be on the green undercard as green told kerry during the year he could be however the promoter (angelo hyder) said the card was full
now kerry wont be fighting till the mundine/contender card early january
his opponent will hopefully be an australian but this will purely be a warm up match for kerry to come back from injury
i saw kerrys name on the card in december i believe the promoter must put his name down as kerry has fought on there once before
kerry only wants to fight australians but it is very difficult and frustrating to get them to accomodate
we should know in few weeks who is interested to fight and will let you know as soon as possible

sorry N2shape you misunderstood me and for this long post

just for the next 4-5 fights there are some really good matchups for kerry locally that he doesnt need to import any fighters
pawsey, awad, baff, mckay, piper, walker, bolling just to name a few
however my point was kerry doesnt want to be another fighter that fights thai and fijians just to get a good record
how many times do you watch a fight night and there are all overseas fighters and are all sub standard
we all complain about it
dont get me wrong kerry has fought some decent imports( mumtaz despite what people think he has been robbed on more than one occassion and showed his class against porky, and vaka) and soulan would be a good fight but why get a fighter noone in your own backyard has heard of and when you can have a local fighter of the same standard
when kerry fought moses he was scheduled to fight paula tualia(sorry bout spelling) at the weigh in moses turns up, then weighs in over 3 kgs heavier then kerry and when kerry asks him to drop weight his replay was if i have to drop weight im not fighting
bullshit you just wont cop from serious local boxers
then the fight, they feel each other out for 30 secs then kerry throws a jab right hand which is more of a feeler and catches him, moses is in trouble kerry moves in for the kill and the referee tackles kerry into the ropes

i remember when bolling fought letoa and he said after the fight he had trouble getting a tape, you go in blind against these imports
now i have to explain to everyone who bought tickets( how a fighter gets paid) why they drove an hour to watch 1 min of boxing against the wrong opponent
kerry will definitely fight imports but he has to really test himself against other aussies first

Shane McConville fights Phil Maley this weekend and if he wins this one he might take on Foley if your looking at an Australian opponent. Bolling is fighting at supermiddle now so i cant see that happening.
